President of Ukraine: We will work calmly with the US and all our partners. There will be a constructive search for solutions with our main partner. We will definitely not give the enemy any reason to say that Ukraine does not want peace, that it is disrupting the process, and that Ukraine is not ready for diplomacy. This is the dignity and freedom of Ukrainians, because everything else is based on this: our sovereignty, our independence, our land, our people, and Ukraine's future. We will and must do everything we can to ensure that in the end, there is an end to the war and not an end to Ukraine, Europe, and global peace. I have just spoken with Europeans, and we are counting on our European friends, who understand that Russia is not far away, that it is close to the EU's borders, and that Ukraine is now the only shield separating comfortable European life from Putin's plans. We remember that Europe was with us, and we believe that Europe will be with us. Ukraine should not experience déjà vu of February 24, when we felt that we were alone, when no one could stop Russia except our heroic people, who stood as a wall against Putin's army. I like how Timothy Snyder, great friend of Ukraine, speaks about this. Fate of the world being decided in Ukraine. Not for first time on our land. We can only speak of lasting peace for the future of our world if the war in Ukraine ends justly and axis of evil is defeated. Therefore, it’s important to stop Russians, to prevent them from advancing and seizing more countries in Europe. It’s crucial that we strengthen our partners and build alliance that serves as reliable safeguard against future wars, one that would allow us to preserve peace for our children for many years to come. The future is being decided in Ukraine today, and we need to keep our partners by our side to deliver final blow to Russia.

Putin stages himself as someone who wants peace, but he is not serious. With every supposedly new attempt at peace, it is the same story all over again - like the film Groundhog Day. And while he pretends to seek peace, his actions tell a very different story. Missile and drone attacks come in ever greater numbers and with ever greater intensity. Terror against civilians escalates immediately. Our position on that [28-point] plan has been - and remains - absolutely clear: There must be no false peace. No dictated peace. No capitulation imposed on Ukraine. That would be disastrous - disastrous for Ukraine, and disastrous for Europe as well. A Ukraine defeated militarily or, even worse, pressured into defeat at the negotiating table - a humiliated Ukraine, a Ukraine internally destabilized under significant Russian influence - would pose a direct threat to Europe’s security. And that is precisely why we must not ease our support. Russia - the brutal and ruthless aggressor - must not succeed with its imperial ambitions. How must we proceed now? In my view, three points are decisive. First: Ukraine must not be forced to surrender territory. Let us be clear: this is not just about square kilometers.
