🇺🇸 The Air Force is making sure its jets never have to turn back early. An HC-130J Combat King II from the 71st Rescue Squadron ran air-to-air refueling drills with A-10 Thunderbolts from the 74th Fighter Squadron over Moody AFB, Georgia. The A-10 is a short-range aircraft built for close air support. Aerial refueling extends its reach dramatically and keeps it in the fight far longer than its fuel capacity normally allows. The more these crews drill it, the fewer limits there are on where and how long the A-10 can operate. Source: U.S. Air Force
