The US carried out a strike on Iran using drones that were copied from the Russian 'Gerani', which was taken from Ukraine, - retired colonel Steve Ganyard. 'The US observed Russia using similar drones with devastating effect in Ukraine. But the drones that Russia uses are purchased from Iran. The US never had anything like this before. These long-range disposable strike drones are highly accurate. The Pentagon received a sample - one of them was found in a field in Ukraine and reverse-engineered. It was copied. Thus, the drone that the US is now using to strike Iran is based on Iranian technology. The irony is that Iran is being destroyed by its own technology.' - SK

U.S. Central Command says Navy and Air Force fighter jets struck 10 targets tied to Iran's military infrastructure after Tehran launched a one-way drone attack on a commercial tanker. A U.S. Army unit asked for more medical support weeks before a fatal Iranian strike on their command post in Kuwait, but soldiers in the unit told CBS News that they were ignored. The soldiers' accounts suggest the Pentagon didn't adequately prepare U.S. personnel for Iran's retaliatory strike, which occurred during the first 24 hours after the U.S. and Israel first attacked Iran and killed six U.S. service members and wounded 20. It was the deadliest attack on American troops since the Iran war began, and the worst since 2021. Jonah Kaplan reports.
