The government spent millions of dollars honing and shaping this man it's one of the most feared and respected killing machines that has ever walked the earth and its entire history. And then it was time for this man to come back to civilization and live a normal life spent zero

Man I hope he gets help. He’s likely done stuff to protect us that damaged him on every level.

I feel bad for Tim Kennedy. He's still looking good, though.

I saw the whole video on him. They claimed PTSD and roid rage. You could tell he didn't have any intention of hurting anyone.

I’m always skeptical when the only charge I see is resisting arrest. With no charge to warrant the arrest, why was there one to resist? Seems he was drunk and/or having other issues, and on that point I certainly hope he’s getting/gotten the help and support he needs.

Police respond to 911 call about veteran with severe PTSD screaming in the middle of the night terrifying his neighbors. We are in Reno, Nevada, involving Christopher Sheahan—a military veteran clearly suffering from severe PTSD. Reno Police officers originally responded to an apartment complex after neighbors called 911 to report Sheahan screaming and causing a massive disturbance. Upon arrival, officers encountered Sheahan in a highly agitated, manic state. As seen in the video, he was intensely confrontational, shouting at officers and resisting their attempts to detain him. Officers had their work cut out for them trying to talk him down as it was very clear one wrong move could set Chris off and the officers would have trouble trying to subdue and control him. During the confrontation, Sheahan repeatedly yells, "You guys shot me... you shot me in my right shoulder." This wasn't a delusion—it was a direct manifestation of his trauma. Two years prior, Sheahan was involved in a traffic stop that ended in a bizarre "chain reaction" shooting. During that encounter, a deputy’s Taser missed Sheahan and accidentally struck a Reno Police officer in the knee. The electric shock caused an involuntary muscle spasm, causing the officer's gun to discharge and strike Sheahan in the shoulder. While nobody was shot during this apartment call, the presence of uniform police clearly triggered a massive PTSD flashback to the day he was wounded. Despite the volatile situation, officers were eventually able to take Sheahan into custody without further injury. He was booked for Disturbing the Peace and Resisting Arrest, later receiving a 60-day jail sentence. This footage serves as a stark reminder of the long-term, invisible scars many our veterans carry with them for the rest of their lives. Also this puts on display some of the incredibly complex situations law enforcement faces when responding to someone going through a mental health crises.
