We used to have culture.

@AnimeGuyEnt You still have this mr Brandon 🤗

I wish. Going to a store now and there is almost nothing in the game section. Let alone any system to play a demo on.

I get happy when I see these posts, then I all of a sudden I just get sad. We didn't realize how good we had it back then.

I remember being a kid and telling my mom I'll be in the video game isle while she was shopping. It was good times

I was working at Target during this era and I remember this like it was just yesterday.

That is great you have the memory of This!

Me, when someone asks me if they can have a turn at the kiosk.

Best Buy and GameStop were my go to for video games . At least we still got GameStop .

The physical media days

No downloading any place in here!!

❤️

We use to be a proper country!! 😭😭

A very lovely place 🥰 look for all the game

Yeah that was most of our childhoods! Every time my mom took me to Walmart, I would always go to the games section to play and see the games but my mom never buy me them for me! 😭😭

Kids these days will never know the joy of beating Goldeneye in a Wal Mart.

beating?? You finish the whole game in the shop?

Over time. The trick was to save a game in the last save space and hope nobody deleted it or wrote over it. I didn't beat the whole game, but got half way through.

This was before stores became wise and started putting time limits on video games. There was a time when Wal Mart would simply set up an N64, insert the featured game, and let people play the whole game. Sony was smarter, and only had demo discs for in-store play.

take me back, i wish to return to these times

We were a civilisation once.

Oh... the memories.

Yall don’t know nothing about turning up the speakers at Walmart on full blast and running away

I miss those days badly

Wow…. time flies…

We used to be a real society! :((

Good times. Oddly enough the GameCube and Gameboy Advance were the first two consoles I bought for myself (I was no longer a kid, had a job, and was living on my own).

Video game shopping today: Online. I miss the old days. Go out to eat. Go buy a videogame.

Awww memories can I just got back to this time just one time

No longer like that, sadly

Back in the good ‘ol days

Truly was a beautiful time! OG 4 LIFE!!

I loved looking at the games behind the glass

You ever been to America?

No I have never been there 🤗

I can give you a tour of the most boring city in the most boring state

My gosh, I remember. I hope I dream about this tonight

I never saw a store like that back in the day.

Really? Where is this one?

It's a Target, but it's a fancy one, the Target stores near me had games and a TV playing game footage but no playable displays. Walmart had this though.

I have the meme for this 😋

LOL! If you were into games back then you would go to Babbages or Electronics Boutique.

I remember asking to go to Walmart. I didn't have money. It was great to try it. I played them and eventually bought later on

Those were the good old days

Nostalgia. 😄

when walking home from school I'd enter a futureshop just to play some games with the other kids lol

The way God intended it

“Mom can you take me to the arcade?” Drops me off at Walmart.
