Use a Reverse Bucket List — Dr. Arthur Brooks

Watch my full interview with @arthurbrooks:

@arthurbrooks Once you're rich and can do everything on a normal person's bucket list, you no longer need one.

@arthurbrooks Nice reframe for his dissatisfaction… however - I’ll Disagree with this

@arthurbrooks A professor once asked our class to write down what we wanted in life, and I sat in front of a blank screen.

@arthurbrooks Mine: every building I drive past that my grandpa or dad or I built. Hotels, gas stations, a pet hospital. Better than any list of things I have not done.

@arthurbrooks So many awesome reframes like this that can unlock new ways of thinking (and more happiness). Love it!

@arthurbrooks If greed is leading the impulse, its best to walk away from it.

@arthurbrooks Most of us keep adding to the list and never ask what's quietly eating the time we'd need for it. Crossing something off because you realized you don't actually want it anymore might be the harder kind of progress.
