Using a ribbon controller and Plaits as the synth equivalent of fretless bass. This track sounds thunderous in the studio! 🎧

🎸 Jaco Pastorius absolutely cooking on that fretless bass — those iconic harmonics, thunderous grooves, and pure jazz-fusion wizardry. Still one of the greatest bass performances ever captured on record. 49 years later and it still slaps harder than most modern tracks. 🔥

Making a track on KORUS Studio takes minutes. Build your pattern manually in the sequencer, or generate one through a prompt. Adjust your kick, snare, bass, and leads. When it sounds right, save it. Watch the full tutorial ↓

This is likely the last teaser I'll make on this as I really should have this video done this week. Here is using Windows exclusively with a controller only, rebooting the system and only using the controller to sign in and have it launch straight into Steam Big Picture Mode.

Did anyone catch the retro console synth in my score for God of War Sons of Sparta? I love blending ancient instruments with modern orchestra… and occasionally, a wink to the sounds that defined early gaming. What’s your favorite track?

As we celebrate the anniversary of the release of 'Nothing Lasts Forever', enjoy this demo version of the track, you get a real feel for the rawness in the studio.

Happy birthday to Jaco Pastorius, born on this day in 1951! A bass revolutionary from Florida whose fretless lightning and harmonic genius turned Weather Report’s Heavy Weather and his solo Jaco Pastorius (1976) into eternal masterpieces, forever changing what the bass could be.

Tested to see if my Roland Jupiter 8 synth from 1984 still works and thankfully it does. Made an ambient interpretation of the track "EARTH" from Gundam Hathaway on this synth, maybe this could be a "what if" version if it came out in the 90s.

Fretless Bass with a pick and round wound strings! Do you approve? (Not all do!). 🤷‍♂️😂 Flashback from a couple of years ago. Thats my 1977 “Firm” Fretless. I use DR STRINGS Sunbeams in case you’re wondering. 🔥🌝 #FlashbackFriday

🎵 GLIDE — A pocket synth that slides between every note, and builds its own sounds 🎹 Meet GLIDE by CHARL3X — a generative synth for the #M5Stack #Cardputer (v1.1 & ADV) that plays like a fretless string instrument 🎸, gliding between pitches so you can bend and slide whole chords right on the keyboard. 🔹 Key rows tuned like guitar strings 🎸 — hammer‑on, pull‑off & slide chords with real glide 🔹 Generative sound engine 🎲 — roll & mutate your own patches; no two GLIDEs sound alike 🔹 Tilt morph 📱 — the gyro blends sounds or adds vibrato as you lean 🔹 Finds a song's key by ear 🎧 — the mic retunes so you can solo over anything (ADV only) 👉 See more on GitHub: #M5Stack #Cardputer #Synth #ESP32 #OpenSource

Memories of 1983 “Summer is so cruel…” ☀️💔 When Bananarama released “Cruel Summer,” the song became a timeless classic for those hot, restless days where freedom and frustration collide. 🌆🔥 With its sparkling synth sounds, funky bass, and a touch of melancholy, the song captured the feeling of being trapped in the heat – both literally and figuratively. It wasn’t just pop; it was a mood. The sounds of a bustling city, a scorching sun, and dreams waiting to be unleashed. 🌇🎶

Metallica. “Crash Course in Brain Surgery.” 1987. The 100 Club. London. The only time they’ve ever played this song — it was a secret gig, they were billed as ‘Damage Inc’ —and of course this is their $5.98 cover of the 1971 #Budgie track. Jason on bass.
