Some people need to hear this again. I've said it countless times before in pretty much all my videos over the last year(s): If you're serious about software engineering (i.e., you want to get or keep a job or get serious work done) => You NEED to be open to AI! Use it as a tool. Don't dismiss it as "slop" or a fad. If that's your take, you need to THINK AGAIN. The Zig approach of banning AI is NOT the way unless you're doing this for your personal joy. Which is fine. It really is. But it will NOT land you a job, if that's what you're going for. And rightfully so, because I truly am convinced that you ARE way more productive with AI. When using it correctly. As a tool. Which is what we're all still figuring out.

When a Firefighter tells you it’s your fault for being in a fire, that’s not the right person for the job. Someone trapped in a fire doesn’t care who you sleep with, they only care whether or not you can save them.

Most sellers using AI in 2026 are doing MORE work, not less. Editing drafts. Evaluating suggestions. Acting on analyses. You became an editor for AI. StoreClaw is different. 🧵

Peter Thiel on how to never lose your job to AI in 2024: “It seems to be that AI is quite good at woke stuff.” “If you want to be a successful actor, you should be a little racist, or a little sexist, or just really funny— and you won’t have any risk of the AI replacing you.”

Naval on how to get a job in 2025: Learn how to use AI Naval on E215: "The fastest way to help somebody get a job right now: the best thing you can do is say, 'Hey, go download the AI tools and just start talking to them. Just start using them in any way.'" "And then you can walk into any employer in almost any field and say, 'Hey, I understand AI.' And they'll hire you on the spot." "AI is a productivity tool. It increases the productivity of a worker. It allows them to do more creative work and less repetitive work. As such, it makes them more valuable." "Yes, there is some retraining involved, but not a lot. These are natural language computers. You can talk to them in plain English, and they talk back to you in plain English." "I think we will see job creation by AI that will be as fast or faster than job destruction." "You saw this even with the internet. Like, YouTube came along. Look at all these YouTube streamers and influencers. That didn't used to be a job." "Go brush up on your AI. Learn a little bit. Watch a few videos. Use the AI." "Tinker with it and then go reapply for that job that rejected you, and watch how they pull you in."

CEO of Nvidia said something that stopped me cold: "You may or may not lose a job to an AI, but you will absolutely lose a job to someone who uses AI" this 41 minutes is the most important talk on AI you'll watch this year so the question is not whether AI is coming for your job it's whether you're the one using it or the one being replaced by someone who does Nvidia already has hundreds of thousands of agents running inside the company right now agents are not the future, they are how the best teams work today I wrote a step by step guide on how to build your first AI agent with Claude Code you can find it in the article below

This is how I channel Jim Rohn's evergreen wisdom that if you work hard at your job, you can make a living. If you work hard on yourself, you can make a fortune. Not just for the fortune, but for the fun, for the fight, for the future.
