TROOPS DEFY TERRORIST PROPAGANDA, CELEBRATE SALLAH IN NGOSHE MOSQUE The Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have recorded a major psychological and operational victory as troops celebrated Sallah in Ngoshe and Gwoza, neutralising earlier threats by Boko Haram/ISWAP. Ahead of Eid al-Fitr, terrorists had circulated propaganda claiming they would occupy Ngoshe and celebrate Sallah in its central mosque to instill fear and project dominance. In response, Nigerian Army troops reinforced the area after a March 4 attack on Ngoshe town. Backed by aerial operations and community vigilance, several terrorists were neutralised and their movements disrupted. On Sallah day, Ngoshe and Gwoza remained peaceful. Residents prayed freely, celebrated, and normalcy prevailed. In a symbolic reversal, troops not insurgents celebrated Sallah inside the Ngoshe mosque, reaffirming control and exposing the failure of terrorist propaganda. The Armed Forces commend residents for their cooperation and urge continued public support. Amplifying terrorist narratives only undermines national security.

PRESS RELEASE NAF STRIKES TERRORISTS, RAZES ABASU AIKI HIDEOUT IN KATSINA The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), through the Air Component of Operation FANSAN YAMMA Sector 2, has delivered a decisive blow to terrorist elements in the North-West, destroying a notorious hideout linked to kingpin Abasu Aiki during a precision air strike in Katsina State. The operation, conducted on 1 May 2026, targeted a terrorist enclave within the Dan-Aji Forest in Faskari Local Government Area, following sustained and credible intelligence reports indicating renewed terrorist activity in the area. Further intelligence confirmed that the location served as a logistics hub and transit point for fighters loyal to Abasu Aiki, who have been implicated in repeated attacks on communities and security forces across the Faskari, Kankara, and Funtua axis of Katsina State. Acting on this intelligence, NAF air assets identified armed terrorists on motorcycles alongside other fighters within the enclave and executed a swift and coordinated strike on both the terrorists and their support structures. Battle Damage Assessment confirmed that several terrorists were neutralised, while the logistics hub and associated structures were destroyed, triggering explosions and widespread fires. The successful operation significantly disrupts terrorist movement and resupply within the area and underscores the Nigerian Air Force’s sustained resolve to deny terrorists safe havens, dismantle their operational networks, and support ongoing efforts to restore peace and security across the region. Nigerian troops, supported by air power, repelled an ISWAP attack before launching a devastating counteroffensive against the terrorists along the Buratai axis. In the early hours of 19 June 2026, ISWAP terrorists launched coordinated attacks on military positions at Dusten Kura and along Chara Road in Buratai, Biu Local Government Area of Borno State. Nigerian troops detected the insurgents movements early and responded with a well coordinated air and ground operation, successfully engaging the attackers and disrupting the assault. Precision strikes carried out by the Nigerian Air Force, conducted in close coordination with ground troops, proved decisive in blunting the terrorists' assault. The strikes inflicted heavy casualties on the attackers, throwing their fighters into disarray and forcing them to retreat in confusion. Nigerian troops emerged from the engagement without no casualties, while the terrorists sustained substantial losses in both manpower and equipment.

Terrorist sympathiser will not happy with this good news Rt 👇🔥 🚨 BREAKING: Troops Storm Terrorist Stronghold, Rescue 360 Abductees in Daring Midnight Operation! In a major breakthrough against insurgency, Operation HADIN KAI troops have rescued 360 kidnapped victims from a heavily fortified JAS terrorist enclave hidden deep within the Mandara Mountains of Borno State. The intelligence-led operation, executed by Special Forces and Sector 1 troops, saw security forces infiltrate the terrorists' stronghold under the cover of darkness, overwhelming insurgents and securing the release of hundreds of men, women, and children abducted from communities around Ngoshe. Military sources revealed that weeks of covert surveillance, intelligence gathering, and strategic planning paved the way for the successful rescue mission. Several terrorists reportedly fled, while others surrendered as troops took control of the enclave. Sadly, two infants lost their lives due to exhaustion and the harsh conditions endured during captivity and evacuation. The operation is being hailed as one of the largest hostage rescue missions carried out by Operation HADIN KAI in recent years.

NAF PRECISION AIR STRIKES NEUTRALISE TERRORISTS, DISRUPT ATTACK PLANS IN NIGER STATE The Air Component of Operation Fansan Yamma Sector 1 recorded significant operational successes against terrorist elements during a series of intelligence-led kinetic operations conducted between 20 and 23 May 2026 across Rafi and Mariga Local Government Areas of Niger State. On 20 May 2026, following credible intelligence on the movement and convergence of terrorists around Tungan Bako and Kasuwan Daji in Rafi LGA, the Air Component in conjunction with the Nigerian Army Space Command Regiment executed precision air interdiction strikes which successfully neutralised several terrorists and effectively disrupted their operational build-up within the area. Similarly, on 21 May 2026, terrorists moving on motorcycles and on foot with rustled cattle from Tungunguna towards Uregi were positively identified and engaged, resulting in their neutralisation and the destruction of their movement and withdrawal capability. On same day, the Air Component also provided close air support to troops in contact with terrorists at Tungan Makeri, successfully engaging the terrorists and restoring operational advantage to friendly forces. In continuation of sustained offensive operations, the Air Component conducted armed reconnaissance missions on 23 May 2026 over Dogon Dawa and adjoining locations in Mariga LGA following reports of planned terrorist attacks on troop positions. Terrorist elements observed attempting tactical movement within the area were swiftly acquired and engaged with precision strikes, leading to the successful neutralisation of a significant number of the terrorists and the disruption of the planned attacks. Post-strike assessments confirmed the effectiveness of the missions in degrading terrorist capabilities and denying the terrorists freedom of action within the general area. Reaffirming the Nigerian Air Force’s unwavering resolve to defend the nation and protect the lives of Nigerians in collaboration with other security agencies. The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, commended the professionalism and precision of the personnel involved, while assuring Nigerians that the NAF will continue to sustain aggressive, intelligence-driven air operations aimed at neutralising terrorist threats, protecting innocent lives and restoring lasting peace across all troubled regions. OPERATION HADIN KAI TROOPS CRUSH ISWAP INFILTRATION ATTEMPT IN CROSS KAUWA, INFLICT HEAVY LOSSES Preliminary Forensic Findings Point to Foreign Facilitators Behind Failed Attack Troops of 19 Brigade, Sector 3, Joint Task Force North East, Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), have decisively foiled an attempted infiltration by ISWAP terrorists into Cross Kauwa, Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State, inflicting heavy casualties on the attackers and forcing them to retreat in disarray. The successful defence of the location further demonstrates the vigilance, combat readiness and operational effectiveness of troops who continue to deny terrorist elements freedom of action across the North East Theatre. The failed attack occurred at about 2220 hours (10:20 p.m.) on 11 July 2026, when the terrorists attempted to exploit the cover of darkness to breach the troops' location. Alert troops swiftly detected the hostile movement and responded with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, compelling the terrorists to abandon their mission of looting cholera medical supplies and withdraw in confusion after suffering severe losses. The attempted looting further lends credence to recent intelligence reports of a cholera outbreak within terrorist enclaves, as well as reports of the execution of some affected members by the group. The neutralisation of a terrorist cameraman during the failed assault led to the recovery of a Sony camcorder containing highly sensitive recordings of terrorist activities, including operational footage and propaganda materials. Preliminary forensic analysis of the last available video recorded prior to the attack indicates that the operation was coordinated by four senior ISWAP commanders (Qai'ds), alongside three foreign terrorist facilitators. They include a Palestinian Arab identified as Abu Ishaq, assessed to be ISWAP's overall trainer; a Moroccan Arab identified as Abu Thaiba, a medical doctor serving within the terrorist network; and another Arab operative whose identity is yet to be established. The presence and active involvement of these foreign nationals further reinforces intelligence assessments that ISWAP continues to benefit from external support, specialist expertise and transnational terrorist linkages. Following the successful engagement, troops immediately dominated the area and conducted exploitation operations to ascertain the full extent of the terrorists' losses. During the operation, troops recovered the Sony camcorder, several rounds of PKT and 7.62 mm Special ammunition, terrorist uniforms and other combat enablers. Initial analysis of post-engagement satellite imagery revealed terrorists evacuating the bodies of some of their neutralised fighters during their withdrawal. This has since been corroborated by credible human intelligence sources, which confirmed that the terrorists suffered heavy casualties, with many others sustaining gunshot wounds during the engagement. Two soldiers sustained gunshot wounds during the firefight and were promptly evacuated by air for advanced medical care. Both personnel remain in stable condition. The failed infiltration attempt represents yet another significant operational setback for ISWAP and caps a costly weekend for the terrorist group following sustained offensive operations and intensified military pressure across the North East Theatre. The outcome underscores the increasing difficulty the terrorists face in executing coordinated attacks against highly alert and combat-ready troops, while further degrading their combat capability, morale and freedom of action. Operation HADIN KAI remains resolute in sustaining offensive operations, protecting vulnerable communities and dismantling terrorist networks until lasting peace and security are fully restored across the North East.
