Using the id modifier on subviews throws a wrench into List's optimization. Instead of just rendering what's visible, it forces all subviews to load instantly. To avoid this, build data sources that align with the Identifiable protocol.

an important optim for any isometric RTS: split the map into sectors, and do frustum culling. I know that Unity already has great culling, but it feel wrong to only rely on Unity for it, what if we want to have huge maps? Of course, logic and rendering has to be completely decoupled, because entities in invisible sectors still need to "think". And of course, I broke the minimap because all sectors must be visible in it at all times. But it's fixable by manipulating visibility though rendering layers instead of mesh renderer state.

We just discovered the 🔥 COOLEST 🔥 trick in Flow that we have to share: Instead of wordsmithing the perfect prompt, you can just... draw it. Take the image of your scene, doodle what you'd like on it (through any editing app), and then briefly describe what needs to happen (e.g. "changes happen instantly"). Using Frames to Video, Flow will understand the drawings and incorporate them into the final video. Try it and show us what you find!

Had an epiphany last night that solves my problem of how to transition between overcast and huge unique clouds with their own behavior. I accidentally just reinvented chunks. Instead of rendering clouds, I put their data into SkyChunks, so they can blend together seamlessly.

This guy is receiving heavy criticism and backlash on Instagram for using his leg to help a puppy that was struggling to climb. If you're working with mirrored geometry in Blender, you can offset the UVs easily by going into the Data dropdown in the mirror modifier and set the U Offset to 1 and then apply the modifier. This is essential for texturing and baking properly without issue!

I think I'm doing something pretty cool with the eyes! I made a shape key where I mess up the eyes, and I'm using a driver with a Noise modifier that animates the lines, giving it a hand drawn look. Just type "frame" into the expression field, no animation needed! #b3d #blender
