Today, the House Health and Human Services Committee advanced several bills that take the right to seek proper healthcare away from patients and give it to the government. Minors will no longer be able to access gender affirming care in Utah if HB 174 passes. Utahns who get gender affirming care now may lose access to care if HB 193 passes. These are decisions that should be made by patients, families and doctors, just like abortion. And they aren’t stopping there. HB 331 cracks down on protestors as we see Americans hitting the streets to object to ICE murders.
