Overload vs LBC I think I prefer Possession Game over Overload when playing agaisnt LBC since you do get better runs and a better defensive shape in Possession Game and you can actually counter Overload in a Possession Game if you play with wide players quite easily so I'll have to give the edge to Possession Game. Overload is more of an extreme controlling the game playstyle and also it is very weak when you are on a counter attack since your team just does not make any direct runs which you kinda need in eFootball especially.

COACHES: When I do faceoff stats - I don't do it for the centers. I do it for lines. Because faceoffs are often won or lost by the players NOT taking the draw. Coaches refer to faceoffs like the "line of scrimmage" in football. It's the trenches that take second and third efforts to gain possession. A typical NHL game will have between 50-60 faceoffs per game. In a sport that so values puck possession, it's 50-60 times to gain possession. In last night's game, there were two faceoffs "won" by the center, but the opponent with their effort at the line of scrimmage WON possession and it led to a goal. Faceoff intensity doesn't show up on the scoresheet but is such a big part of winning hockey. Great clips to show your teams!!

⚽ SOMETHING DIFFERENT FOR COACHES TO TAKE INTO THEIR OWN TRAINING Newcastle United used this possession and counter pressing rondo in training yesterday morning, but there was one detail that made the practice interesting. The setup was a 6v3 inside a 9 x 9 yard area. The six possession players looked to circulate the ball under pressure and, after completing six or more passes, could score into one of the mini target goals. The three pressing players had a simple objective. Win it and score quickly. But here was the twist 👇 At ANY moment, the coach could serve a new ball directly into the three pressing players. Immediately, the mentality of the six players had to change. From possession to aggressive counter press. No warning. No predictable trigger. Just instant reaction. The six players had to recognise the transition, sprint to reduce space, lock onto the nearest options, protect the target goals and prevent the three players from escaping or getting an early shot away. Counter pressing moments in matches are rarely scripted. Players lose possession in different areas, from different actions and in different body positions. The coach serving the ball creates unpredictable transition moments and forces the players to develop the habit of reacting immediately rather than waiting for the picture to become comfortable. For high performance youth teams in a Positional Play game model, shortening the transition times is an important detail requiring consistent training and development of a pressing mentality valuing defensive work . Measuring the time to recover possession is one way to gauge progress. In this group stage match at National Cup XXIII, the teams are tied 1-1 with just minutes to go. A promising attack by my Valencia CF Academy M07 team stalls when a pass is made behind a teammate. 2 seconds after the pass, the opponent has possession. 1 second later, we regain possession. Time to recovery is 3 seconds. (That is very good!) 5 seconds later the game winning goal is scored. Total time elapsed from bad pass to goal is 8 seconds. Without the immediate, aggressive press, the goal is likely not scored. Develop a pressing mentality! ValenciaCFAcademy-Seattle Academia VCF 🦇

Please reference this when you are facing Overload. The best counter to Overload is Quick Counter and Out Wide so if you have a manager like Tuchel, Kovac, or Roberto Martinez you will be fine. You will see that you can easily catch any Overload user on the counter with ease once you catch them deep in your own half. Any manager with Possession Game and Quick Counter will be able to cover all 6 playing styles like Tuchel and Klopp so they will be the best managers in the game until a Possession Game and Quick Counter manager comes with a two link ups.
