An all-time favourite for me. Moody, aesthetic, creepy, poignant, thought-provoking, life-affirming, deeply human film. Tom, Penélope, Cameron all magic in it. ‘Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.’

Well explained. It’s just so underrated.

«Open Your Eyes», de Alejandro Amenábar, 1997 ;-)

It's not a bad movie, but way too Hollywood and slick for my taste. The original Spanish film, Open Your Eyes, is almost the same movie down to each shot, but somehow so, so much better.

Vanilla Sky blending romance, mystery, and mind-bending twists. Tom Cruise's intense performance, paired with the surreal visuals and haunting soundtrack, made it a standout in the early 2000's cinema landscape. Still, a film that challenges reality and perception.

A remake of Amenabar’s Abre los Ojos, isn’t it?

This movie is GOATed and I cannot be convinced otherwise.

Touching scene ❤️

One of the very few movies that gave me this feeling of between-realities vibe after watching it, last one was Dune 2.

That’s a great point you made. What I especially loved about this film was the exact same thing you said. That feeling of between-realities. And yeah soundtrack also helped too.
