Chelloor Mahadeva temple is an ancient temple in Malappuram Kerala that is going through a hard situation. The Chief Priest of the temple has drowned and died unnaturally in the sacred temple pond and a cow in the temple compound also has been found unnaturally dead by a knot of its own rope on the neck. Millions of Hindu devotees worship today Goddess Shailputri (the daughter of the king of the Himalayas—Goddess Parvati). The only ancient temple dedicated to Shailaputri across India is in Varahmul (Baramulla), Kashmir. Feeling blessed that I was able to visit and pray at her temple today.
