Bash is all you need! Which is why I'm introducing my holiday project: just-bash just-bash is a pretty complete implementation of bash in TypeScript designed to be used as a bash tool by AI agents. Because it turns out agents love exploring data via shell scripts, even beyond coding. It comes with grep, sed, awk and the 99th percentile features that an agent like Claude Code or Cursor would use. In fact, Claude Code can use it for secure bash execution. In the package - A bash-tool for AI SDK - A binary for use by yourself or your coding agents - An overlay filesystem to feed files to your agent securely - A Vercel Sandbox compatible API, so you can quickly upgrade to a real VM if you need to run binaries - An example AI agent that explores the just-bash code base using just-bash - I imported the Oils shell bash compatibility suite and just-bash passes a very good chunk What is interesting about this codebase: It was essentially entirely written by Opus 4.5. Coding agents love bash and they are good at reproducing it. They are also great at text-book recursive descent parsers and AST tweet-walk interpreters. That said, it is, like, a lot of code and I didn't read it all 😅. This is very much a hack, but it also seems to be _really_ useful. I haven't really found anything agents want to use that it doesn't support and it's fast and secure (caveats apply). It doesn't have write access to your computer and the filesystem is given a root that the agent cannot escape from. This might be the craziest workflow you'll see this week. From #VR greyboxing to 3D worlds with the help of #AI. The 2 tools I used are ShapesXR and Marble from World Labs. Let me tell you why and how. - ShapesXR is the most powerful and fastest way to assemble 3D scenes at scale. - The library of assets + ability to sketch from procedural primitives gives the perfect balance between speed and freedom. - ShapesXR allows you to export your creation as a glTF that can be used as a "3D prompt" into Marble - Marble now allows you to create a panorama using a 3D scene as input increasing DRAMATICALLY the control you have during the creation process - Through the workflow you can adjust textures and objects in the scene using AI inpainting - There are tons of options on how to use the final output (create a #GaussianSplatting, export collision mesh and even a detailed mesh 🤯) This is the perfect examples of how VR creative tools improve and accelerate the design process... so make sure to follow me if that's your jam 😉.

We just launched a tutorial showing how to make a professional-quality Commercial using AI. For this project, we created a consistent Product, character, and style using Nano Banana Pro Pro from Google DeepMind inside of Freepik , then we animated the images using Veo 3.1 inside of Google Flow. Big news I found a way to convert Gaussian Splatting into a standard mesh while preserving all the visual advantages of Gaussian Splatting, such as reflections, shadows, and lighting that changes depending on the viewing angle. The result is excellent performance, even on an old laptop or a VR headset. And of course, the mesh can be animated like any regular 3D mesh, while still keeping the visual benefits of GS. I’ll soon show a full-body character animated using this technique.

Another traditionally animated commercial I did around 2002. In this one we had a lot of dynamic shots involving 3D rendered coaster elements. I had to animate using photostats to match the 2D to the 3D. A process that would've been a lot easier with today's tech.

Let me share a long-awaited behind-the-scenes video of how Simulon works. It all starts with setting up a scene. You set the location, lighting conditions and capture the light map with a few turns. After that, you can capture the environment mesh using the Lidar scanner. That's the moment the fun begins. You can bring in your #3D models with animations and capture a video of up to 50" using the #AR preview on screen. After that is done, you send the footage to the cloud and in a couple of minutes you get back an incredible #CGI shot. And this is just the beginning.
