One of the 'secrets' to #SuperMax success is the allocation of cost capped funds purely for the benefit of Max If a £100,000 change will benefit Max it is done. If a £100,000 change would benefit his team mate and NOT Max, it WILL NOT be done. RBR only run a 2nd car because they have to under the Concorde agreement. They spend the absolute minimum necessary to run their 2nd car, leaving more to spend on Max.

You must field two entries, two drivers, two sets of tyres, etc. That’s why they keep filling the second seat even when it underperforms. Verstappen has been open about preferring a clear hierarchy. Anyone that has tried the latest Tesla FSD knows it’s starting to feel like a living creature. It’s clear that Elon is actually worried about putting so much intelligence in a Tesla bc it feels it can get bored. “Have you tried Tesla self-driving lately? The car, it just increasingly feels sentient. It feels like a living creature. And that’ll only get more so… I’m actually thinking we probably shouldn’t put so much intelligence into the car because it might get bored. Imagine you’re stuck in a car and that’s all you could do.
