Very funny. Who else feels like this guy when they hear a land acknowledgment?

We took the land on the north shore of Lake Ontario from the Mississaugas. The Mississaugas took this land from the Iroquois around 1700. The Iroquois took this land from the Huron in n 1649/50. Who do we acknowledge???

Had to listen to one the other day at a business meeting, just about walked out!

You can look up the treaty for whatever land you're on. The land I'm on was purchased from 150 natives for some cloth and farming tools. The fact is the natives were quite happy for the deal at the time they've just since realized they could have held out for better.

Some of my native friends think land acknowledgements are patronizing.

He speaks for a lot of us....

To naive leftists, land acknowledgements are just prayers. Sober people recognize them as attacks on our land titles.

I'm Indigenous to Revelstoke BC, 4th generation. I would like to have them acknowledge that they are now on sovereign land of the McCrae's. I would like land acknowledgements or whatever you call it for the entire Revelstoke area.

They do these at work before EVERY f’in meeting. It makes me so mad. They say it in such an unctuous manner. Smug and better than anyone in the audience. Our little Turd PROMISED them in 2015.

Stupid performative ignorant nonsense
