What happened in Aleppo has nothing to do with Kurds! This was a confrontation between the Syrian state and the PKK-led SDF. Kurds are not the SDF. Kurds are not the PKK! This video from 2012- during the Kurdish uprising against Assad in Kobani- shows something many try to erase: Kurds themselves rejected the PKK! Today, those same Kurds are suppressed and silenced by the SDF. Dissent is punished. Speaking freely is extremely dangerous! Conflating Kurds with the PKK is not solidarity.
