Atlanta VA PM&R/PT/Prosthetics at the Joseph Maxwell Cleland Atlanta VA Medical Center is restricting me to attendant-controls-only power mobility and refusing to repair my current Q6 powerchair because it does not have attendant controls. That is not independence. That is forced dependence. VA has Neurology, Eye/Low Vision, and Cardiology/Electrophysiology clearances supporting independent powerchair operation. If VA still says no, then VA must identify the current clinical basis, provider, date, findings, and safe mobility plan. Dear Secretary Collins, I want to express my sincere appreciation for your dedication and hard work—they truly make a difference. I believe however that empowering a veteran’s primary doctor to make patient decisions would help streamline the process. These doctors know their patients’ needs far better than bureaucrats, and giving them the authority to determine the best course of action would greatly improve service delivery, eliminate unnecessary second-guessing, and reduce the need for veterans to travel for additional consultations. Ideally, once a veteran leaves their doctor’s office, all necessary steps should be handled automatically, allowing care to be delivered as determined by the doctor. Veterans should not have to contact the bureaucracy to chase after service delivery. Respectfully, Veteran spouse

I was reading some evidence yesterday and according to these evidence, yesterday, not only the vet affairs sold the homes of veterans with the approval of attorneys, but a new documented entry in a FOIA: the VA made a mistakes in the sales, gaslighted the veterans, and didn’t return the homes to the veterans even when holding the-vets homes as REO.

@WhiteHouse @DeptVetAffairs Check the ethics of your leadership teams - down to the facility level. Meeting metrics doesn’t always = good care. What are they doing to meet those numbers? Are the numbers accurate and truly reflective of needs being met?

While I am very grateful for numerous national and regional organizations that offer direct support to veterans, we should not be having this if the government are really prioritzing OUR veterans instead of giving aid to other countries and worse illegal aliens.
