Today I vibe-coded a small but incredibly useful macOS Electron app using Cursor + GPT-5.5. I use my Mac with a Samsung monitor that has a built-in webcam. Every time I used the camera, I noticed annoying light flickering. I always assumed it was my lighting. It turns out the culprit was the anti-flicker setting. The webcam was set to 60 Hz by default, while India's power frequency is 50 Hz. That mismatch causes visible flickering under indoor lighting. Samsung doesn't provide any way to change this on the monitor, and macOS doesn't have a built-in control for it either. So I asked Cursor to build a simple camera control app that lets me change the webcam's hardware settings, including the anti-flicker mode, along with zoom, brightness, contrast, and more. About 30 minutes and a few rounds of refinement later, I had a fully working Electron app. A tiny app, but it solved something that had been annoying me for months.

What it actually does: you speak, it transcribes, removes filler words, and polishes the result before dropping clean text into whatever app you are using. You can also give it voice commands to reformat, like "translate to Hindi" or "make this a bullet list." Audio and video file transcription is built in too. The interesting part is the privacy angle. Most AI writing tools send your audio to a server. This one never leaves your machine, which matters if you are dictating anything sensitive. Took a while, but finally got one lesson going, in an installable Apk. This is a screen recording of the App from my phone. (The poor video cutting also done by me😂. There was audio, but the cutting made it sound weird.) This is a "testnet" lesson. We are still changing quite a bit of it. Don't read too much into it. This version is mainly for me to confirm that we got a complete team that can actually produce something. This involved a lot more than what meets the eye. We had to design the characters, the content, make animations, make audio, use a game engine, and a whole bunch of developers. 😂 Will find a way to streamline the process going forward. Keep building.
