Vibe coders will only get better at programming naturally and programming AI IDEs have barely scratched the surface, while vastly improving every month or even week. AI assisted engineering will most likely win in the end, and speed to production.

But at least his code didn't have TODO:Fix.

Since we recruit people at work that pass technical test and then totally fail on "the field" and over relly on ai or slop cursor it definitely healed my impostor syndrome ... Even got a raise

I've met people senior to me who are outsourcing their thinking to ChatGPT on things they used to be experts in. It's weird because now I have to keep correcting them and then they argue that the machine told them something else.

Yeah but u also have to consider a new breed of programmer that is born because of vibe coding , the guy that knows all the high level knowledge but cant remember syntax for shit. The ADHD programmer. Can tell you how machine code compiles under the hood, cant write hello world without reading the docs 37 times.

I know nothing about coding but I would love to understand the whole "he was coding in python" "you should remove the ':'" and is it bad to do software engineering in python.
