Vibe coding is completely changing the economics of software development. This woman has no coding experience - but made a viral advent calendar app in just a few days. Ten of thousands of people used it and uploaded 1M+ images. The cost? $230.

She posted another video walking through what the app does + how she built it. And she’s here on X if you want to follow along: @meshtimes_

i think the key is that she actually has great design experience. people love visuals - it draws attention way better than complex, technically advanced systems

100% agree, the product went viral due to her design!

The girl has millions of followers. Wdym? If you are an influencer your app will get a lot of traction. Can you retain it?

If you take away the fact that it went "viral" nobody would care. Vibe coding apps is no longer impressive. But, what her video alone tells me is that she knows how to play the game of distribution - super polished video, built around $$$, social proof right at the start, using buzzwords, vibe coded, completely solo, etc. That above is the recipe for a great performing vid. And she's clearly got the skill! We're getting to a point where basically nothing other than your ability to distribute matters.

The $230 cost is deceptive because it usually covers hosting and API fees. The real cost—the "sweat equity"—was just a few days of intense prompting. This invalidates the old startup advice of "validate before you build." Now, building IS the validation. You can ship the product faster than you can create a landing page to test interest.

The real story isn't that she built it cheaply. It's that she built it at all.

bullshit, where did she distribute it at? how much she spent on marketing? how did people discover her app and decided to engage with it?

great example of how Mocha would get you better results for less $ Supabase is an extra 20$ and much harder for the ai to get right.

Step 1, have design thinking skills. Very clear.

But then if it gets compromised or runs into any scaling issues she won’t have any idea of what to do.

This is why distribution skills are becoming more valuable than technical skills. When anyone can build, the differentiator is knowing what to build and how to get it noticed.

Love this! The accessibility of vibe coding is groundbreaking. Excited to share your insights with my audience.

Nice — $230 is the happy path. Same loop without guardrails is how you get a $4k surprise bill. Worth metering agent spend locally so the floor doesn't become the ceiling. We built for this purpose: free and open source for everyone to protect themselves.

Vibe coding unlocking new creative avenues! Exciting to see the barrier to entry lowered.

I think this perfectly illustrates why execution matters more than technical perfection. When I started my first business in 2014, I spent too much time chasing perfect code instead of solving real problems. The market doesn't care about your tech stack, it cares about the value you deliver. This woman understood her users and shipped something people wanted.

$230 for something that got 1M+ uploads is wild. the ROI on vibe coding projects is insane when you dont have to pay a dev team for months

As it should be. Everything should come down to problem-solving. Impressive what she's achieved.

the real unlock is people with actual domain expertise can now build without needing to hire devs as translators

the real barrier to entry just shifted from syntax to taste

This is wild—and also a wake-up call. Coding is no longer just about syntax, it’s about ideas + execution. If you can ship fast, test fast, and iterate, you can win. Tools are lowering the barrier, but taste, clarity, and problem-solving still matter.

This girl knows how to make videos about her vibecoding. Seems like nice one looking. All alone and innocent in her pretty large cozy apartment wearing hoodies while doing hard work. I bet she also selling some other pics for money 😏

@venturetwins, the low cost demonstrates how vibe coding lowers the barrier to entry for software development.
