vibe coding metahuman with threejs and codex: spitting FACS ok, i'll admit 3D modeling has a lot of depth, going from a cube to a full facial action coding system is.. a lot of work, but really it isn't all that hard to learn like some people want you... to believe it took me about 10 evenings to go from scratch (no idea how to even model in blender beyond the famous donut) to a working rigged and shape keyed expression system the actual vibe coding parts are very manageable, i'm not even hitting any session limits the past week since codex is basically just reading the glb file and it writes the drivers to have a full animation system in a single turn after that i usually notice that some things don't look as professional as i like it to be, followed by codex sending my ass back to blender and telling me what i need to do to make it better so here we are, the expression system is still very very simplified, no micro expressions yet and i believe i will need probably 500+ shape keys to actual achieve realism, but why not? Doing the 52 ARKit expressions for this demo wasn't too hard either, just tedious and boring The final driver in the demo uses a mix of bone movements and blendshapes to smoothly animate the face I might mix up some terminology here but i usually do cause it's been like what, 10 days since i started? Guess next up i'll look into face deformation parameters and then we'll move to the fun part of skinning. Once the head/neck area works (hairs are also still missing), full body next and finally LOD systems and we can call it a day Demo (pls use a desktop i'm not optimizing the ui for mobile):show more

When I saw the mask "Tribes of the Calf" from Kanbas I knew I had to make it into reality. The jewelry and gold really made it stand out for me. Since Sam Spratt's The Masquerade was revealed, I have been spending time sculpting and dissecting the mask to recreate it in 3D as faithfully as possible. I delved into the creation of this mask for many reasons. I love a good challenge and this mask surely was one for me. Creating something in 3D from a 2D image is not easy, and especially when the source has generative nature, some stuff is hard to interpret, but I tried my best to make sure the visual integrity of the mask is as close to the original as possible. Splitting the whole mask into parts, filling the missing pieces so I can build the textures was quite a lot of work. I tried to present the mask in my own style with a slightly different colorway to adapt to the mask itself. Please enjoy this short animation, and turn on sound🔊 This piece is my statement that I am here to stay. That I have a voice that often feels being lost in the void. That I have been creating and posting digital art for over 20 years now and will continue until I'm gone. I have a story to tell and I want to be heard. The space we have here is small, and is shrinking day by day. It doesn't have to be like that. We need to support each other and push ourselves and people here, otherwise we are all doomed. Therapist Trey Tucker came on Relatable to talk about anxiety. I asked him, "If you could define anxiety, how would you define it?" Tucker: "Fear of the future. Fear of the unknown. The verse, 'Be still and know that I am God' used to make me so angry. I'm like, God, what do you mean be still? Like, I got a real problem here. I'm in a storm. Why do you want me to just be still? And what I realized is that the word, and I believe it's "Rapha" in the Hebrew, it doesn’t mean just ‘don’t move.’ It means ‘release your grip.’ The idea that I thought that I had control, that was a lie anyway. If I can start to realize like, yes, the circumstances might happen that are negative or I might be in the middle of a battle right now, but if I can loosen my grip and stop white knuckling it, then I can realize that like oh—God is God, not me, and He’s going to take care of me no matter what happens. That really is the solution to anxiety. It’s not changing your circumstances or slapping meds on it.”

Therapist Trey Tucker came on Relatable to talk about anxiety. I asked him, "If you could define anxiety, how would you define it?" Tucker: "Fear of the future. Fear of the unknown. The verse, 'Be still and know that I am God' used to make me so angry. I'm like, God, what do you mean be still? Like, I got a real problem here. I'm in a storm. Why do you want me to just be still? And what I realized is that the word, and I believe it's "Rapha" in the Hebrew, it doesn’t mean just ‘don’t move.’ It means ‘release your grip.’ The idea that I thought that I had control, that was a lie anyway. If I can start to realize like, yes, the circumstances might happen that are negative or I might be in the middle of a battle right now, but if I can loosen my grip and stop white knuckling it, then I can realize that like oh—God is God, not me, and He’s going to take care of me no matter what happens. That really is the solution to anxiety. It’s not changing your circumstances or slapping meds on it.”

taegunv customize behind! 🧸 this is just a story but before i went to record the demo for customize, i actually asked taerae hyung to come with me. i felt like we needed taerae hyung for this demo to really bring out the right vibe. and the song is quite high too. so i asked him "i'm going to record a demo now can you come and do it with me?" and when taerae hyung asked "what will you give me?" i said "i'll buy you a meal" and he said "okay i'll be in touch," but he didn't contact me. so i went and did it by myself. that's why i ended up doing it alone.

This happens all the time! This is why I feel like I'm not worth myself! This is why I feel like I cant grow! This is twitch actively nerfing my account every time I go live! The audience didn't leave they were still in the chat! When I asked twitch for help, I got an automated incomplete response that said "everything looks" . I am so tired of fighting this and have pleaded with twitch, Daniel Clancy and have told the VP FACE TO FACE about this issue and still nothing has been done! Why? I'm small potatoes no one cares and no one will even put an iota of time into solving this issue! This has been a constant every day for over 2 years and I cannot express how defeated I absolutely feel every time I press start to immediately have my audience ignored by twitch. I know some of you are going to say its not all about the numbers and if you enjoy it, it shouldn't matter. Unfortunately the ultimate truth is we are heavily judged on our CPM by everyone, potential partners, sponsors, collaborative opportunities and even by twitch themselves. So yes, it does matter. It matters a lot and worst part is no one, will take this issue seriously! I have literally 120 days of information from twitches 9th longest subathon (unrecognized of course as again small potatoes) that would absolutely show this being a consistent issue. I don't know what to do, I am at wits end here and I every time I see this happen to me I just want to curl up into a ball and let the world wash over me. I need help, i need someone to look at this, because I have dedicated my life to entertaining individuals and I do this full time, I dedicate 8 hours a day every day for the past 2 years to this company and the only thing I get is ignored. I know this is a lot and it looks like just some random person complaining, but I need some way to get this in the right hands and not the automated jarble that I've been getting. Its even been acknowledged in the past by a tech for twitch that something might be up. Again, I know I'm not big but were all working under the same logo and should all be taken care of equally!
