Can't stop thinking about the art style Desimulate created so I tried to create it in Three.js to see if I could achieve a similar look and feel. I think I got pretty close with some careful pixel art billboarding and lighting. But there's some limitations to getting this particular perspective right so it would only work in environments where you limit where the player can walk to. Vibe coded on Grok 4, Claude Sonnet using Cursor.

Fun fact: It seems that there was, at some point, an idea of changing Shepard's sprint based on morality. In the game files, there are animations for what's called Storm_Paragon and Storm_Renegade. "Storm" is the sprinting animation when you hold spacebar. #MassEffect #bioware

Ubisoft has finally listened to everyone and AC: Black Flag Resynced now has motion captured facial animations for the cutscenes. This already looks 10X better than the robotic facial animations found in Assassin's Creed: Shadows which objectively ruined the immersion during cutscenes. My biggest fear for this upcoming game was how Ubisoft was going to handle these Facial Animations and I'm glad to see them taking the right approach.

When we start adding characters, it becomes very difficult to achieve the exact animation, gesture, or movement we are looking of all of them in a single generation. In addition, the more characters are added, the more rigid Seedance 2.0 animations become in order to maintain consistency. This is especially visible in styles with squash and stretch and rubber hose animations, where the characters deform their body parts as if they were made of rubber, or in highly expressive movement animations in anime. Vibe coded an infinite 3D tunnel scroll using Three.js with object pooling and GSAP animations, all created with Google Gemini 3 Pro AI in under 30 minutes :D It’s a fully procedural, mathematically generated world that renders endlessly as you scroll up and down without eating your device memory (that's what at least AI said 😆) Live: Code: now returning to the job that funds my ability to overwork myself :)
