Es maravilloso escuchar a Erice, casi tanto como ver sus películas. Con independencia del grado de concordancia que uno manifieste con sus palabras, solo escuchar su diccion con ese ritmo tan pausado como convincente provoca un placer indescriptible.

It's a special feature on the Criterion DVD of Spirit of the Beehive, called "Víctor Erice in Madrid" (2000). I believe it is also currently on the Criterion Channel

I love the sense of layers in this - Erice, a Modernist contemporary of Godard and Scorsese, immersed in a dialogue with these giants of an earlier generation that had laid the Classical foundations of their respective industries
