A beautiful state is being headed up by one of the worst state administrations in Australian history. Victorians deserve so much better. There are many lifelong Labor voters in Victoria who are considering giving up a habit of a lifetime and not voting Labor. The leadership speculation about Allan, and whether she stays or whether she goes, is likely to continue right up until the state election in November. One Nation Victoria and Pauline are fully focused on providing the change Victorians desperately need. The polls this week, where we are in pole position, show that Victorians are ready to do something very different. We stand for putting everyday Victorians first and breaking with the failures of the past that both Labor and the Liberals cannot run away from.

A Muslim woman who was fasting was brutally tied up and beaten. When she asked for water, instead of giving her water, she was forced to drink a mixture of alcohol and urine. On February 25, 2026, during the month of Ramadan, Roshan Khatoon, a resident of Madhubani district in Bihar, was brutally beaten while she was fasting. She later died on March 1. According to the family, Roshan Khatoon had gone to the village head’s house to resolve a dispute, where she was tied to a pole and beaten with sticks. The family claims that when she asked for water while fasting, instead of giving her water, she was forced to drink a mixture of alcohol and urine. The family alleges that she was targeted because she was a Muslim and that this was done deliberately to humiliate her. Serious questions have also been raised about the role of the police after the incident. The family alleges that instead of taking her to the hospital in an injured condition, she was taken to the police station and a demand of ₹50,000 was made. In the case, 19 accused have been named, but so far only one arrest has been made. The family has accused the Bihar police of not taking the matter seriously and supporting the accused. Homelessness minister Rushanara Ali is facing calls to resign over claims she raised the rent of a property she owns in London by £700 a month. Ali had insisted the government was “empowering people to challenge unreasonable rent increases,” yet it's alleged four tenants who rented a house in east London from her were sent an email last November saying their lease would not be renewed. BAIL DENIED AGAIN | The State has successfully opposed a bail application based on alleged new facts brought by Janitha van Reenen Coetzee (25) in the Vanderbijlpark Magistrate's Court. Coetzee faces a charge of fraud involving approximately R424 000 allegedly defrauded from the Emfuleni Local Municipality. It is alleged that the accused misrepresented herself as an independent agent capable of assisting residents in obtaining discounts on outstanding municipal accounts. Victims allegedly paid her money to make discounted payments to the municipality on their behalf. However, the funds were allegedly never paid over to the municipality. The accused also allegedly submitted claims to the municipality on behalf of the victims. It is further alleged that the municipality paid approximately R424 000 to the accused, which was never paid to the intended beneficiaries. The alleged fraud was uncovered when the then Chief Financial Officer of Emfuleni Local Municipality, Martha Mani Rantsofu, who has since passed away, identified suspicious claims amounting to approximately R424 000 and reported the matter to her manager. Following an internal investigation, the municipality reported the matter to the South African Police Service for further investigation. During the bail proceedings, the State, represented by Prosecutor Moses Raditsela, opposed the application and argued that the accused posed a flight risk because her residential address could not be properly verified due to inconsistencies regarding her place of residence. The State further submitted that no genuine new facts had been presented to the court, as the issues raised had already been considered and addressed during the previous bail application. It argued that releasing the accused on bail would not be in the interests of justice. In delivering judgment, Magistrate Mamburu agreed with the State's submissions and found that the information presented by the accused did not constitute new facts. The court further held that it would not be in the interests of justice to release the accused on bail. Consequently, the bail application based on new facts was dismissed. 🚨UPDATE: Trial hears two women who accused Sir Jeffrey Donaldson of sexually abusing them claim he subjected them to “difficult and traumatic incidents” when they were children 🎤Chief Reporter James from Newry Crown Court. The former DUP Leader is accused of rape and several counts of gross indecency and of indecent assault. He has pleaded not guilty to the 18 alleged offences. The charges span between 1985 and 2008 involving two alleged victims. Mr Donaldson’s wife Lady Eleanor Donaldson, denies several charges of aiding and abetting her husband’s alleged offending. She is facing a trial of the facts. Barrister Rosemary Walsh KC opened the prosecution case by summarising the evidence. She told the jury they would hear evidence from witnesses as well as police interviews carried out with the Donaldsons at the time of their arrest in 2024. Ms Walsh said two complainants had come forward to police more than two years ago and reported “difficult and traumatic incidents they say happened when they were children”. She said the evidence of the two complainants would in part be delivered during the trial by pre-recorded interviews. She said they would be cross-examined by barristers but would not come into the court. Ms Walsh said that in March 2024 Complainant B told police that she had been sexually abused when she was a child and that she remembered two incidents “vividly”. In the first alleged incident, she told the police that Jeffrey Donaldson had put his hands down her underwear, pulled her legs apart and then sexually assaulted her. In the second incident she told police that Donaldson had lifted her top and started to touch her breasts. Ms Walsh said Complainant B had said there were other incidents and that Donaldson had put his hands down her pants “a lot”. The barrister told the jury that Complainant B had later been at a meeting with Donaldson at a Christian centre and he had “apologised to her for what had happened in the past”. Ms Walsh then turned to the evidence that would be presented during the trial by Complainant A. Complainant A also made a statement to police in March 2024. She alleged that Donaldson touched her on a number of occasions under her top when she was a child. She told police that touching her had become something he had “done quite often”. She told police that Donaldson would make comments about her appearance, including the size of her breasts. She recalled one incident where she claimed that Donaldson had been “looking at her private parts”. The jury was told that the Donaldsons had been arrested on March 28 2024 and were subject to a number of police interviews. In Jeffrey Donaldson’s interview, when Complainant B’s account was put to him, he said it was “unbelievable” that he would have touched her in a sexual way. Regarding Complainant A, he denied that he ever rubbed her breast. 🚨UPDATE: Trial hears two women who accused Sir Jeffrey Donaldson of sexually abusing them claim he subjected them to “difficult and traumatic incidents” when they were children 🎤Chief Reporter James from Newry Crown Court. The former DUP Leader is accused of rape and several counts of gross indecency and of indecent assault. He has pleaded not guilty to the 18 alleged offences. The charges span between 1985 and 2008 involving two alleged victims. Mr Donaldson’s wife Lady Eleanor Donaldson, denies several charges of aiding and abetting her husband’s alleged offending. She is facing a trial of the facts. Barrister Rosemary Walsh KC opened the prosecution case by summarising the evidence. She told the jury they would hear evidence from witnesses as well as police interviews carried out with the Donaldsons at the time of their arrest in 2024. Ms Walsh said two complainants had come forward to police more than two years ago and reported “difficult and traumatic incidents they say happened when they were children”. She said the evidence of the two complainants would in part be delivered during the trial by pre-recorded interviews. She said they would be cross-examined by barristers but would not come into the court. Ms Walsh said that in March 2024 Complainant B told police that she had been sexually abused when she was a child and that she remembered two incidents “vividly”. In the first alleged incident, she told the police that Jeffrey Donaldson had put his hands down her underwear, pulled her legs apart and then sexually assaulted her. In the second incident she told police that Donaldson had lifted her top and started to touch her breasts. Ms Walsh said Complainant B had said there were other incidents and that Donaldson had put his hands down her pants “a lot”. The barrister told the jury that Complainant B had later been at a meeting with Donaldson at a Christian centre and he had “apologised to her for what had happened in the past”. Ms Walsh then turned to the evidence that would be presented during the trial by Complainant A. Complainant A also made a statement to police in March 2024. She alleged that Donaldson touched her on a number of occasions under her top when she was a child. She told police that touching her had become something he had “done quite often”. She told police that Donaldson would make comments about her appearance, including the size of her breasts. She recalled one incident where she claimed that Donaldson had been “looking at her private parts”. The jury was told that the Donaldsons had been arrested on March 28 2024 and were subject to a number of police interviews. In Jeffrey Donaldson’s interview, when Complainant B’s account was put to him, he said it was “unbelievable” that he would have touched her in a sexual way. Regarding Complainant A, he denied that he ever rubbed her breast. A report by some anti corruption unit out said SARIKA LAKRAJ-NAIDOO’s incident was “remarkably similar to that received by Gauteng Health [Department] whistle-blower Babita Deokaran before her assassination.” Line manager working with criminals. Late Mayor Geoff Makhubu assigned security detail to her.when he passed away, the same day then City Manger, Floyd Brink removed her security detail. Then she was served with a charge sheet.
