I received the notice on Friday and did not have enough time to respond in detail because I was preparing for the competition and cutting weight. I requested 14 days to submit a proper reply and asked them not to stop me from competing during that period..." On allegations against her, she said, "If I had violated any anti-doping rule, NADA or WADA would have banned me. I had missed one whereabouts update after becoming a mother and during an Assembly session. I apologised, and WADA cleared me to participate in international events."

Like I have always said, rape and sexual assault are not crimes of sex. They are crimes of power and control, sex is just the weapon used. This woman is the president of Mexico, yet a man groped her in public in an attempt to reduce her and let her understand that he can still exert power over her. He didn't do this because he was horny, he did this to reduce her. I wonder how her security detail allowed this to happen but I am glad she is pressing charges

“My team turned on me.” Elizabeth Eddy wrote an op-ed in the New York Post asking her league to clearly define what a woman is and whether that definition will be protected in the league. She argued that if women’s sports are meant to protect a category, that protection has to come first. But after the article, her teammates pushed back, calling it harmful and even labeling it transphobic and racist. She said, "I was 100% shocked. This mother was upset with her kid for leaving his clothes out on the stairs. She said she asked him to take his dirty clothes and put it in the washer machine and to do a load of laundry. She said he got mad and said no and started blaming her. She told him that he needs to come talk to her when he’s calm and not upset and they will discuss it. She said she is leaving his clothes right where they are. Me, personally, uhm- I would handle that in a completely different manner. What about you? Last week, we said goodbye to our beautiful Nisha. She came to us as a rescue, after being found as a stray, and became a deeply loved part of our family, and part of the music too, appearing quietly in so many of the cottage videos. Thank you to everyone who noticed her, asked about her, and loved her from afar. The music in the video is called “Nisha”, it's a melody we used to sing it to her at home during Covid lockdown, and I later recorded it on my album Solace. She was deeply loved. We miss her so much

It's the best time of the week! Time for another episode of It's A Blast Podcast! This week, I am talking to Mary Dague, an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician who lost both of her arms to an IED strike in Iraq. Mary and I have been friends for years and hearing her story with such detail is hard, but it is a story that needs to be told. Her story of being the first female in her unit, the family that she found in her team, and her recovery are worth listening to. Mary is an incredible human being. This happened at a gas station while both this man and woman were filling up their vehicles. The man noticed the woman flying the Mexican flag and asked her why she was flying that flag instead of a USA flag. Apparently she didn’t answer and he kept asking her. He told her he was asking nicely to respect “our” country (The USA) and she responded “I want to put MY flag up because I’m proud of being Mexican. I’m sorry that you’re racist…..” Many people had differing opinions. Some said good for her for sticking up for her culture, but others, even some Hispanic people said that the USA is now their country which has afforded them things that they never would have had possible before. That they were proud Mexican/Americans but they only fly the USA flag. I don’t think what he asked was racist. I think many people feel the same way, we are here, the USA is our country, why not be proud of the USA and fly OUR flag. Before you come at me, I have two kids- they are both part Hispanic/Mexican, so you can’t say I don’t like Hispanic or Mexicans. It’s not about that. Do you think this guy said anything racist? Or do you think it was a legitimate question? Would it bother you too? Do you think it’s a free country and she can fly whatever flag she wants? What do you think?
