We have launched a nationwide campaign (Chhatron Ki Goonj) on the crisis in India's education system. As part of this campaign, Leader of Opposition Shri Rahul Gandhi ji has already interacted with students in Kota and will soon address students in Patna and Prayagraj, culminating in a major rally in Delhi in mid-July. Shri Rahul Gandhi is not just raising the issues surrounding NEET and CBSE examinations, he is raising the fundamental issue of education in India and the urgent need for greater public investment in the sector. Nothing will happen by abusing GenZ. They are what our third-class education system made them. They were blank slates; our education system turned them into woke slaves. Many say they are the product of bad parenting, but they forget that their parents are also products of the same education system. The British designed it in 1835 to destroy our reasoning abilities and turn us into obedient slaves. Muslim scholars realised this and established their parallel education system. Congress carried it forward after 1947 but allowed Muslims to continue running their parallel education system. BJP has also been carrying forward the same education system since 2014. Though we are also products of the same education system, we were lucky. At that time there was no social media, so we got plenty of time to spend with family, community, elders, and grandparents. But GenZ are not lucky. First, the education system has become more woke. Then came CIA-controlled social media and OTT platforms. BJP got 12 years to correct this education system. What did Smriti Irani, Prakash Javadekar, and Dharmendra Pradhan do? They made it more leftist and more woke. A woke leftist person will never align with the BJP. It was supposed to happen, I have been warning this from last 5 years There is still time. Change the education system now.

India needs to build an alternative manufacturing system that thrives in a democratic setup. Thus, a partnership with Peru or the US could be the way forward. When it comes to education, it begins with curiosity and the freedom to think openly and ask questions without any fear or constraints—political or social. Education must not become a privilege for a few because it is the very foundation of freedom. India needs an education system that fosters a scientific temper, encourages critical thinking, and reflects the rich diversity of our nation. LoP Shri Rahul Gandhi visited the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and the University of Chile and had an engaging conversation with the students. The insightful dialogue focused on education, democracy and geopolitics and how India needs to carve its way forward in the multipolar world today.

We had a free and frank conversation with some of the young protesters. They spoke about how they were assaulted, beaten and threatened. I am very proud of them and of what they, along with thousands of young Indians like them, have done. They have defended the Constitution. They have protected the idea of India and India’s future. Complaining about an education system that is flawed and failing is not a crime. If anything, the system needs to be changed and corrected.
