Neither end of the bridge is in the correct position, preventing alignment with the locking mechanism that allows vehicle traffic to cross. Crews on boats have spent hours spraying water onto the bridge to cool the metal so they can realign it with the road deck. The bridge has caused major traffic jams during the evening commute, and there is currently no word on when it will reopen to traffic.
