VIDEO | US Trade Representative Ambassador Jamieson Greer said, "We know that India has a long history of agriculture, of manufacturing, but we also know that they're moving forward in technology. They want to move forward in AI. They want to cooperate and collaborate with the United States on... the technologies of the future and trade of the future. And that's some of the exciting opportunities that we'll have between the United States and India is to capitalise on that. President Trump and Prime Minister Modi have an amazing relationship. They've nurtured it over many years. Just last week, they met at G7 in Evian, France, and I was there, and they agreed to take the relationship to the next level. This includes the trade deal that we're working on, but it includes every aspect of the relationship, and we expect the relationship to continue developing and only going to a higher and higher level with every passing week." #WATCH | US President Donald Trump says, "My relationship with India is fantastic, and we are doing trade with India. India pulled out of Russia. India was getting its oil from Russia, and they pulled way back on my request because we want to settle a horrible war where 25,000 people are dying every month. My relationship with PM Modi is great. I also stopped the war between India and Pakistan... Yesterday, the Prime Minister of Pakistan said that President Trump saved 35 million lives by getting them to stop. I did it largely with tariffs. I said, ' You want to fight, that is fine, but you are not going to do business with the United States, and you are going to pay a 200% tariff, each country.' They called up, and they said, we have made peace." (Source: Reuters)

#WATCH | Hyderabad, Telangana: US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor says, "When the United States announced a new initiative called Pax Silica, India was one of the first 10 countries that we invited to join. That is because we trust India. When the United States needs medicine, 40 % of our generics today come from India. Why is that? Because we trust India. Earlier this morning, I was in Delhi meeting with your Commerce Minister, Piyush Goyal, and with our Trade Representative. One of my first goals getting here was finalizing a trade deal and we're very close to getting that finalized... Along with that trust, we have an incredible relationship between our president and our prime minister. I bring everyone here very warm greetings from the White House and from the president. In fact, I was just with him and Prime Minister Modi last week in France."

🚨 PRESIDENT TRUMP JUST NOW: "A lot of things happening between the United States and India. The United States is doing the best we've ever done. We have over $19.2 trillion coming in and we're building factories!" "We're building everything, and Prime Minister Modi is building a lot in the United States. He's spending a lot of money in the United States, so we appreciate that job." "But I just want to say he's been my friend for a long time now and we've always had a great relationship and it's great to be with you." "We have a G2 coming up and then we have a G20 coming up. You know what the G2 is, I think, most of you. But we had in particular some very good conversations with Prime Minister Modi, India, and we're doing trade deals."

#WATCH | Washington DC | On conversation with President Trump, US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor says, "I have been with the President for 10 years, so a large part of the conversation was like two friends catching up... but I also told him about my visits to India... I also spoke to him about the growing trade relations. On both sides, we see businesses coming here and going there every week, and it is a win-win situation for both..." On meeting over India-US trade deal, he says, "Ambassador Greer has the President's full confidence and so we are getting close to finalizing that. But, these things are complex legal things and this is not of one page. We have thousands of items between our two nations that we are working on. And so the fact that we've gone so far, that is a great sign for the relationship and I am hopeful that we will be able to wrap this up sooner than later."

#WATCH | Delhi: On US President Donald Trump's congratulatory tweet on him, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Taranjit Singh Sandhu says, "... I was sent as ambassador of India to the United States. I was selected by Prime Minister Modi. And the relationship between the United States and India is in the national interests of both countries. The Prime Minister's thinking is very clear. So many times he has enumerated it. I was merely performing my job. It is definitely a matter of satisfaction and happiness that President Trump, in his tweet, acknowledged that. But I would also like to mention that even President Biden has mentioned about the good work. We were able to successfully, under the guidance of the Prime Minister, convert the relationship into a partnership."

David Eby: The idea that you can simultaneously attack Canadians and also benefit from what's in Canada, which the rest of the world also wants, is an absurd one. It makes no sense. And it is reflective of this administration's entire approach to their relationship with Canada. They want to have all the benefits of a relationship with Canada, but they also want to punish Canadian workers to bully us, to tell us who we can trade with. It is the definition of an abusive relationship.

.United States Trade Representative on talks with Canada: "We offered them the best access to the United States of any country in the world... I don't know if it was political for them. It certainly doesn't make economic sense... but they came in and they wanted more, and we weren't prepared to do that."

JD Vance on Iran: We have an opportunity here, I think, to reset the relationship that has existed between Iran and the United States for 47 years. That's what the President has asked us to do, and that's what we're going to keep working at, but it takes two to tango. We are not going to have a deal that allows the Iranians to have a nuclear weapon. So, as the President just told me, we're locked and loaded. We don't want to go down that pathway, but the President is willing and able to go down that pathway if we have to.
