Zero Trade. That’s the trade deal we should have with Israel. Zero trade until they stop their murderous invasion and occupation of Palestine. We should refuse all trade with Israel - until they free Palestine. As we have Russia. I’ve been refusing to work with Israeli firms or buy anything from that country - for decades. It’s the moral thing to do. And the only power we have as individuals, we should use it. The boycott of Apartheid South Africa is a great example. Israel is of course an Apartheid state as well as an invader and occupier of its neighbours (not just Palestine).

Yet yesterday, after a terrorist attack against British Jews, we saw the pro-Palestine brigade calling to “globalise the intifada” and chanting “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.” I say this as someone who is broadly pro-Palestine, a believer in a two-state solution, and someone who has been deeply critical of Israel’s response to October 7th.
