A fatal road accident claimed the lives of a man and a woman and left another person seriously injured at about 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Michel Camp in the Greater Accra Region. According to an eyewitness, both vehicles were traveling at high speed when one driver attempted to overtake the other, resulting in a serious collision. The woman, who was in the mangled vehicle, was thrown out upon impact and died at the scene, while the man in the same vehicle became trapped in the wreckage and later died. The occupant of the overturned vehicle sustained serious injuries.

The victim, identified as Rijas, a native of Pattambi, died on Sunday evening after the motorcycle he was travelling on was involved in a collision.
