Where I work EMS is supposed to park the Ambulance up stream of traffic for visibility and to shield the scene. We are also required to put out cones, flares and wear hi visibility vests. It’s the very FIRST thing EMS is trained to do upon arrival… assess scene safety, then take appropriate precautions. There is no way to know if this accident could have been avoided if the EMS crew had followed protocol.

This is a sad situation. But the ambulance are always supposed to be parked behind. The vehicle gives protection for them, and the people that they are treating.. sad

How is the guy videoing so calmly, didn’t even miss a beat on movement when the crash happened. 🤨

I knew that hit was coming. Black car and no lights blends right into the road. That ambulance should have been parked blocking the crashed vehicle from oncoming traffic

The semi truck driver should be arrested for speeding through a zone where emergency lights were flashing. The EMS worker shouldn’t be allowed to work until he does a safety course. To stand on a highway like that is suicide without flares, police vehicles slowing traffic.

So the traffic lights were red, so that semi should've already been slowed down because those lights are only a block down from where the car was sitting he clearly wasn't paying attention. And it looks like someone was inside of that car while the EMS workers was standing outside of it. There's a lot of stuff going on here and what happened to the driver of the Kia.?
