BJP and JD(S) workers filed Form-7 applications in bulk to delete voters. He says applications to delete 45 lakh names were filed, and up to 50 to 60 lakh could be targeted. In Vijayapura alone, 14,000 applications were filed in two days. His minister MB Patil says seven BJP workers filed the forms for over 13,000 voters, mostly Muslims. The seat was won by around 6,000 votes in 2023. Then these workers were warned of punishment if the claims were found false. They withdrew the forms and apologised in writing. Read that again. They withdrew only after they were warned. Why did nobody stop them before? FIRs are already registered in Belagavi, Bhalki and Mysuru. And DK Shivakumar did not just give a speech. He went to the CEO's office, sat on a dharna with his ministers, and said he won't leave until a criminal inquiry is ordered. Bro, you vote every five years. You stand in the sun for an hour. The lawlessness on full display since day before yesterday, right from Farakka to Chakulia is spreading like wildfire. The National Highway at Beldanga; Murshidabad district, has been completely obstructed by anti social elements for almost 3 hours now. Rampant stone pelting is happening unabated. The trains have been forcefully halted. The area is under the complete dominance of hoodlums, hooligans and goons. No sign of Police action till now. Thousands of passengers are stranded who are petrified and without food and water, with no respite in sight. I would like to urge the DGP (acting) West Bengal Police to mobilize Forces and regain control of the area. The message is very clear that the State of West Bengal is getting out of the grip of the Administration and Anti Socials and Rioters are taking over, who have the backing of the ruling TMC Party so that they can use the freehand to do whatever & whenever they want to do in order to disrupt normalcy. @BengalGovernor HOME DEPARTMENT - GOVT.
