A Royse City Police Department officer, who hasn't been named, has been fired after responding to an altercation at a community pool. The officer can be seen dragging a woman by her dreadlocks, and the department said that was in violation of its standards, policies, and procedures. The department said the actions of the 3 other officers, one of whom pushed a woman with a baby in her arms, were justified and within departmental policies. The department will not pursue charges against the 18-year-old woman arrested, but a 35-year-old woman will possibly face charges of interference with public duties and resisting arrest.
