I once argued with someone who said that Gulu and kasese are ghost cities, he based his argument on the fact that he has never seen traffic jam in those towns. Traffic jam isn't a sign of a vibrant city, it's a product of poor planning. Kigali is a living example.

Have always visited Rwanda every year but the best memory was for last year during the Global AI Summit on Africa. It was a great pleasure to meet with top AI builder's in Africa like @chidostartsup of #VimboAI indeed Rwanda is a place where youth have to visit @wekesa_amos Thx

take us to the real rwanda, the one of slums poverty and hunger. not this fantasy curated to lie to the world

Profilbild von Amos Wekesa

You can come and do that. I showcase what’s good about countries including Uganda. I don’t go to Harlem in New York , I take u to where stuff is happening. A fool will expect Rwanda to big rich instantly, things change over time and you see it here. Slowly getting there. They aren’t sitting there and complaining

Profilbild von Duba Sangara
Duba Sangaravor 6 Monaten

that is not the real rwanda; that is a facade, a fantasy curated by paid influencers like you to showcase an image which does not represent even five per cent of what the country is. the real rwanda is overwhelmingly made up of poor hungry struggling masses living in hovels

The trees along the roads to the South and the night lighting are spectacular. Absolutely the tidiness across this country of 1000 hills is top notch for a L&MIC.👌

Leaders travel the world at public expense, learn nothing useful, and return unchanged-Meanwhile, we place the burden of inspiration and change on the younger generation—precisely the group that's systematically excluded from meaningful participation in decision-making processes.

There are young people in government just not sure they are exposed enough to make a difference. If you can’t make a difference out here, you can’t join government and make one

It's true young talent exists in government and brings fresh insight, but the system ignores them. Power stays at the top, and bold ideas are stifled by political games. Bottom line: no real commitment to transform infrastructure or the environment.

@RobCyubahiro I am not seeing boda boda on the pedestrian walkways. Kigali must be boring for a Muna Kampala who is used to chaos 😂.

Sport brings us together and creates an opportunity to reach young people with life-saving health information. As highlighted in this video, through the 4th Intercamp Sports and Awareness Tournament, we used sport as a platform to promote HIV prevention, access to health services, mental health,SRH, substance-use prevention and informed decision-making among young people in Mahama Refugee Camp. Throughout the campaign, we encouraged young people to seek reliable health information, visit health facilities, make informed choices, and use condoms to prevent HIV and other sexually transmitted infections. We also distributed more than 100,000 condoms, helping young people access essential HIV and STI prevention tools. We made this initiative possible through collaboration with Ministry in charge of Emergency Management , UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency , Kirehe District , GIZ Rwanda , Save the Children Rwanda & Burundi ,AHF Rwanda and other partners. Beyond the game, we used sport to educate, empower and promote healthier choices among young people. For assistance or concerns, call RRP+ Toll-Free: 1245.
