Excuse me, maybe I missed it. When did the person asking the question mention faith? I’m 100% sure he said Israel. Is there an automatic assumption that when anyone uses the name Israel that it’s directed towards religion? Where does this righteous indignation come from?

I think the question started okay, actually. He was asking about the Israel Lobby and its effect on the types of races that Vivek is currently in (backing the most pro Israel candidate and trying to destroy the other) but then it went off the rails I agree.

The Talmud is a massive corpus of Rabbinic debates on interpreting the Torah, naturally there is some ordinary passages in there.
