The Bible is its own best interpreter, and @VoddieBaucham has confirmed that one more time. He's demonstrated how to do exegesis (bringing out the objective truth) and making the truth relevant, meaningful, and understandable to the congregation, that is, expository preaching.

I found that pastor and followed him on here. All of those verses are inside a pericope called “Dealing With Sin in the Church.” After hearing his explanation, it’s crystal clear.

@DavidMSmithLB I love Voddie, but he’s wrong @ “2 or 3” take. His logic (it can’t mean 2 or 3 gathering for prayer, else God wouldn’t b there when praying alone) is devastating vs. his own take: So God is ONLY THERE when 2 & 3 gather for discipline — not worship! 🤦‍♂️ In HIS NAME, He is there. 🙏🏻

Having spent over a decade in a less than sound theological church, I’ve seen these scriptures abused so often. I believed so much garbage, it seems ridiculous now. The people in those churches need to hear the truth of Gods word.

God's entire word is truth. I can go to the Father by myself through Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit will be present where two or three are gathered.
