Js people: Ok your language is actually fast Python people: Come defend your language Go people: Needs more optimizations C people: Don't worry. If you enable the optimizer, this thing goes BRRRRRRRRRRRR.

🚨 [New Paper] The Adam optimizer is a zombie algorithm... It senses and adapts the learning rate, sure. But the update rule itself? Fixed, frozen. Decided before even the training starts. It works in some regions of the loss landscape and fails in others. What if the optimizer itself was an agent, free to learn its own trajectory through the landscape and adjust its own update rule at every step? and maybe transfer its learned policy to train models on unseen datasets! Introducing: PILOT (Policy-Informed Learned OpTimizer) 📄Preprint: 🧵TLDR 👇

New tool drop! 🔥🔥 de-optimizer uses several mathematical approaches for mutating machine code instructions to their functional equivalents. Very good for bypassing rule-based detection without using any RWE memory.

nTop and PhysicsX show what a closed-loop AI design pipeline looks like in production. nTop generated 100+ drone configurations with zero geometry failures. The parametric model and live parameter updates were created in nTop, and the design exploration was run in the PhysicsX Optimizer.

Had a couple requests for help with people's teams this week, so thought I'd walk through a demo using Lateriser12's team to talk about how I've been using Solio Analytics stochastic optimizer to stay flexible for non-WC32 lines. Hope it's useful!

1/9 Current optimizers are static during training. What if the optimizer could think and react while the network trains? We let an agent watch the training dynamics and rewrite the optimizer's source code as training goes: a reactive optimizer. In every language and image setting we tried that has no tuned recipe, it matches or beats the best recipe one can one-shot, and it guards against loss spikes and overfitting by itself. In the near future, optimization decisions may belong to agents, not humans. 📝 💻 Try it on your task: 🧵
