Wade staying dead would’ve literally defeated the entire purpose of water and fire can be together- the movie is literally about two opposites coming together and being together as soulmates Wade staying dead wouldn’t make any sense

The point of the sacrifice was to force them to be completely honest with eachother before 'the end' and him living let's them live the life together that they wanted
