Asked why he made the decision to take out Nicolás Maduro, President Trump laid it out plainly. “It just was the right time to do it. We had to do it because it’s a war. We’re losing 300,000 people a year.” Trump then revealed new details from the raid. He said Maduro was holed up in what was essentially a fortress. “He was in a house that was more like a fortress than a house. It had steel doors, it had what they call a safety space where it’s, you know, solid steel all around.” Maduro tried to reach that reinforced area as the operation unfolded. “He didn’t get that space closed. He was trying to get into it, but he got bum rushed so fast that he didn’t get into that.” The U.S. military was prepared for anything. “We were prepared. Violence erupts again at The Waffle House this past weekend. 2 people were shot, including a 74 yr old female security guard you see laying in the corner in a pool of blood... "I got shot in da leg, hell ya they blew her, these niggas was crazy" The man in the video appears to enjoy the mayhem, almost as though he lives and dies for this behavior. The narrative "let them shoot each other, problem fixes itself" is wrong, insane, and fixes nothing. Ask the grandmother on the floor if it fixes itself. Which Waffle House? If you have never watched a UFC fight if you have never watched an MMA fight this is what it’s all about. This guy was an American. He was the underdog at least 6 to 1 underdog. His career is at the end and he pulled it out and not only won, but he destroyed the undefeated champion. If you get a chance if you ever watch a fight, watch this one probably the most amazing fight I’ve ever watched. God bless America.

Scott on why conviction in an idea is dangerous as an investor but required as a founder: "From the investor seat, I don't think you want to be in love with an idea. That's a risky thing because you'll find a way to express that by investing and make some compromises on the team because you know this idea is just so good, its time has come. But if the team isn't there, 90% of the time it doesn't work. Then there's a whole thing can you swap out the team? But the whole Founders Fund thesis was always no, you need the founder to run the company. But on the company side, you have to be in love with the idea. It's not that rational to start a company. There's a lot easier, more comfortable ways to make money if that's the goal. So it's got to be about what the company is doing specifically. If you want to actually start a company, it better be something that you're really passionate about, or you think that the problem is really important."

At first I thought about buying one in Bangkok, but my parents.. don’t like the hustle and bustle at all. Honestly, I’d say the whole family is introverted 🤣 think about it, they moved to Kalasin from Hong Kong. But they love that peaceful life, the quiet life, looking up at the sky, the whole sky, no tall buildings. They love that. The 2nd house is actually in Khon Kaen. I feel like it has that warmth, being near a hospital, a better one nearby, there’s an airport I can get to more quickly, things like that. It’s a house that’s kind of like our safe house/zone. But my parents still love the house in Kalasin more

If the manager wouldn’t fight to keep them, the employee is given a generous severance package so the company can find someone even better for that position.
