It’s about memory, identity, and love for one’s land. When someone says “fight only when it’s fair,” it sounds less like history and more like personal survival dressed up as wisdom. Maybe instead of quoting George Orwell, a little reading on resistance would help. Credit where it’s due he has built his space in stand-up. But sermons on history and struggle? That’s not his field. Stick to Gen Z comedy. This is how badly Indian Cricket was stuck in “Hero Worship” not too long ago. The legendary Sachin was clearly past his prime, many expected him to call it a day but he didn’t & nobody said a word to him until Sandeep Patil, the then Chairman of Selection Committee decided to soft land it to him. He asked Sachin “What are your plans?” Full respect to Sandeep Patil for showing the courage to bell the cat In no other country Aus Eng SA NZ would Sachin have been allowed to continue playing way past his his peak In fact it was agonising for his fans to watch the slow end. Kapil Dev also unfortunately kept delaying the inevitable and it was painful to watch the Haryana Hurricane being smashed by tail-enders with disdain.
