Its because egg heist is meant for multiplayer so all loading screens will still make the timer keep going, its like how you cant pause in an online shooting game

But then is the loading device based or internet connection based? Because what if you have slow internet or something hitches and you're in that loading screen for 1 minute or so and that causes you to fail?

Best thing to do is start to leave at the 5 - 3 minute mark then

Fun fact you can also get attacked and downed while going in. Happened to me a few times when teammates were fighting next to the door

It's coop online game. Time passes no matter what. It's why I start high tailing it out when its at around 3m depending where I'm at in the map from an exit. 2 if it's nearby.

That happened to me every fucking time

If time stopped it would be a game breaking glitch while playing with other people have 1 person going in and out to stop the time, then the other 2 just straight farming

it has to be a global timer because not everyone is loading out at the same time but i feel you. solo, it should not count

That is sadly real.... kinda dumb but what can ya do since not everyone is leaving the gate at the same time so it be hard to stop the timer, if the timer stopped someone could gate keep the portal and create longer runs

Yep. This is why I can’t play with others. My loading times are so bad because I’m on a laptop not using an SSD for gaming. I lose about a minute loading into the map then another minute each way in and out of the sanctum

Why would you think it would pause in a multiplayer mode… you’re all on the same timer, if someone could just keep pausing the timer then that would get abused

Only way they could do that is if they froze everything while a player went through. Otherwise you could have a person just use it over and over to keep the clock stopped

Yes, the in-game time keeps running regardless of whether you're playing solo or in multiplayer, since there's only one setting for the mode. In my case, I have to time things carefully because the loading screen can sometimes take up to 25 seconds.

Yeah, that's why I tell everyone to wrap up after the 5-3 min count so they have time for umbrella and stamina drain before reaching the exit.
