don't spray or lubricate the wheels on your garage door. They're supposed to roll along the track. Anything greasy or oily will just make them slip and eventually gum up altogether. Do the hinges, yes, but don't get any on the wheels or track.

Also works like magic on Stainless steel appliances.

WD40 has a pretty distinct potent smell....not sure you want that to be on the screens & windows.

And dust and dirt will stick to it afterwards. Also never use if for any lock. It will glide at first but then dust will stick to it and make it worse. Use Teflon spray for locks or door wheels.

WD 40 is a solvent, not a lubricant. It can damage some types of plastics. It is great for penetrating rust, grease, stuck locks etc.

My FIL used to spray WD-40 on his fishing lures…. Caught a ton of fish… illegal as hell though. If you don’t want to lose your fishing gear and get banned for life, don’t let the game warden catch you doing this.

You people have it all wrong. It’s not WD-40. It’s a WD-40 brand silicone spray. Silicone is an excellent lubricant.
