What are your thoughts of designing in Ps instead of Illustrator? Is that a good solution for someone (me) that's not as familiar working in Illustrator?

It works, but I’ve found it’s way quicker to iterate designs in illustrator than Ps, and the benefits of texturing in Ps you can do in Ae anyway. So speed and redundancy are the factors.
