"And yeah, I mean, I just hope that anyone who is- feels trapped or frustrated by the world in general. You know, they need to just, I think that we all have like a magic spark, and you need to just find the thing that makes you, you know, inspires you and, and gets you excited and pursue it as hard as you can find your passion in the world. That's a, that's a great motivator."

The uncomfortable truth is that some beliefs are held for the same reason some people buy Rolexes: they look good in public. In the same way that many people buy expensive material possessions, not because they especially like the possession itself, but because they know it will impress other people, there are people who express luxury beliefs not simply because they believe them, but because they know those beliefs will bring them clout and status. So the motivation behind the luxury good and the luxury belief is often very similar. But many people convince themselves that their motives are completely sincere. Take a guy who buys a Lamborghini. If you ask him why he bought it, he might say, “Look, it makes me feel confident. I like driving it. It makes me feel good. That’s why I bought it. I’m not trying to impress anyone.” And I think part of you might suspect, “Well, all of that may be true. But I also think part of you likes the fact that when people see you in that Lamborghini, they think of you in a certain way.” The same thing can happen with luxury beliefs. People may sincerely believe what they are saying. But part of me thinks that, somewhere deep down, there is also a sense of satisfaction that comes from expressing a belief and having your peers, your social circle, and other similarly credentialed elites applaud you for it. They think, “What a compassionate, interesting, sophisticated person you are for holding that view.” A belief can be sincerely held while also conferring status to the speaker.

Maybe both And there are some I've had some amazing live moments in the tour where I really really I feel like maybe people can hear that I'm not maybe in the best voice and The level of support and love that I feel in the room in those moments I feel like any time with my fan base that you know If I'm ever kind of struggling a little bit I really really feel the love and support from them and and that's really really special I think I spoke about it quite a few times and it's I've almost run out words at this point the relationship that we have With each other and i'm not just being the typical cliche Sing a song right here say my friends are the best in the world They are but truthfully the relationship I think that we have is really really special. I often describe it as like a codependency And it really is like that, you know like I They make the shows better for me and then because of that I make the show better for them. So Those kind of shared moments together and the moments where we've been fighting together I think they're really really special to me.”

"And so sometimes like God speaks to me, I think primarily God speaks through me through action. And I think he speaks through everyone through action. You know, we like to talk a lot, but not a lot of people like to live it out. And I make mistakes, but I want to try to live it out to the best of my ability. I think secondly, through the way of communication, I've always had a heart to make complex ideas simpler to understand because I'm not a smart guy. I have a hard time reading Shakespeare and complex literature, so I like doing that. But sometimes I'll be sitting and talking with someone, and I feel like God tells me something about the person. They're struggling with something or if they've got a physical ailment and I'll ask. And sometimes it's true. Sometimes it's not. I'm not not discouraged if it's right or wrong, but if it's right, sometimes God speaks through that way. Those are a few ways God speaks through me, but, but the intrusive thing is so beautiful because I think he can speak to everyone intrusively and it is so sweet when it happens. And it was, it was happening this morning to me in the shower, which is so sweet and beautiful, you know. I struggle a lot with what people think about me because I've always struggled with people pleasing before being a Christian. And so, you know, if I'm misunderstood or someone takes something in the way that I didn't say it, I get hurt because I'm like, oh, I didn't mean it that way. Or, you know, whatever. So I'm kind of talking to Jesus and I'm in the shower praying and I'm going, man, God, I want to be more like you. I want to be how you want me to be. I want to love you. And I want to be your son. And I just want to focus on being yours. And I don't want to care what other people think. And this, this and that. And Jesus was speaking to me about some practical things I needed to do. Like it would help you if you, you know, stopped looking at what people say online. It would help if you deleted Instagram. And it would help if you did this. And, it would help if you would just trust other people to do what they're supposed to do. So you can focus on being mine. And I'm sitting there in the shower going like, wow, this is so good. I don't know what goes on there, but I know if you have a 10 point advantage in your party registration, you should be able to win that election. Shaquille O'Neal revealed he had to figure out two things: either intimidate you or make you laugh. I was always a bully, until one day in fifth grade, I had a spitwad. I threw it at the chalkboard, it splattered, and this kid rats me out. But prior to that, my father said, "If you get suspended again, I'm gonna kill you. I'm gonna beat you like you've never been beaten before because you're irresponsible, you're a medium-level juvenile delinquent, and moving at this pace, you're gonna be nothing in life. I'm not having that in my house." So, I wait for the kid I mean, first I go to the office. Three days. Graham Bensinger: You were suspended for three days? Shaquille O'Neal: Suspended for three days. So now I gotta go home, and I already know what I'm getting when I get home. But before I go home, I'm gonna whoop your ass. So I'm beating this kid up, and I'm kicking this kid, and he has an epileptic seizure. It was just me and the kid out there, and he's on the ground shaking, and now I'm frightened because... uh oh. So then a guy comes and he saves the kid.
