Correction and update from earlier today — and the real story is actually better news. What I initially thought was concrete construction activity on the VSA farmland near Arbuckle Neck Road turns out to be dredge spoil operations. Sloop Gut — the tidal channel providing access to the NASA North dock at Wallops Island — is finally being dredged. This is a big deal. Rocket Lab has long cited Sloop Gut's shallow, tide-dependent access as a major logistical challenge for moving Neutron hardware by barge. The company filed a dredging application with the Virginia Marine Resources Commission specifically to address this bottleneck. Salmons Incorporated is the contractor, operating May 4 through October 31, 2026, using an excavator, material barge, and pushed boat Gail Waring on the Chincoteague Channel and Sloop Gut. The operation I witnessed today was dredge spoil — sediment from the channel bottom — being mixed with aggregate to stabilize the wet material, then transported to nearby VSA farmland for dewatering. Per VDEQ permits, approximately 55,000 cubic yards of dredge material will be spread across roughly 78 acres at 4-5 inches depth for up to 364 days. The boom lift that was positioned in the back is now lowered and gone. • LC-2 (Electron): Quiet on-site, but we now have a local mariner’s notice confirming a launch window opening Dec 18 at 7:45 PM. The Antonov AN-124 has officially landed at NASA Wallops Flight Facility — presumably carrying Rocket Lab Neutron hardware. The aircraft traveled all the way from New Zealand, making stops in Fiji and San Bernardino, California before departing this morning for Wallops. Pictures really don’t do this thing justice. It’s a massive aircraft and was very cool to finally see in person. There was also a really nice crowd gathered at the NASA Wallops Flight Facility Visitor Center observation deck to watch the arrival. During the landing, I shot another high-speed continuous photo sequence, so I may be able to put together a video from it later. For now, I focused mostly on photos and a short video after touchdown while it rolled down the runway. The aircraft is currently parked near the end of the runway being unloaded. Rocket Lab Neutron AIC — Second Stage Test Stand Move Dec 10, 2025 This morning kicked off with major excitement at the AIC. As soon as I arrived, it was clear the test stand was going to move very soon — and sure enough, everything started happening fast. • Escort vehicles rolled to the gate • The test stand began its move • The whole operation was smooth, coordinated, and safe The stand traveled down the NASA Wallops Island Causeway, crossed the bridge, and headed straight into the launch complexes. I’ll be checking the viewing spots tomorrow to see where it ended up and what progress has been made. Also had a really cool meet-up with a couple folks from Virginia Spaceport Authority — always fun connecting with people who are helping make this all happen. Things are ramping up out here. And one day… hopefully we’ll see a Neutron rocket riding on that same transport trailer, crossing the bridge just like the stand did today. That will be an epic moment. NASA Wallops Island update — June 18, 2026. Pegasus media event recap. Yesterday we attended NASA's media event for the Pegasus XL launch carrying Katalyst Space's LINK servicing spacecraft, which will attempt to rendezvous with the Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory and boost it back to a stable orbit using LINK's three robotic arms. We recorded about 33 minutes of the briefing on GoPro, covering the first 15 minutes of speaker intros and mission overview plus part of the Q&A. Rookie mistake: I left it recording in 5K60, and it overheated, cutting things short. Lesson learned. NASA's event was not video livestreamed, but they ran a live audio stream, available here: After the briefing, media were bused out to see Pegasus mounted under Stargazer, Northrop Grumman's L-1011 carrier aircraft. As we got off the bus, the Air Force Thunderbirds happened to be taking off from an adjacent runway. Great bonus moment. Swift's orbit has been decaying faster than expected due to increased solar activity. If LINK succeeds, it will be the first time a commercial robotic mission has captured an uncrewed NASA spacecraft never designed to be serviced in space. Great day at Wallops. 🚨 Been watching this Haltom City, Texas house for a long time. Squatters moved in… we filed all the paperwork and today they finally sent a crew to clear it out. Here’s the difference: When the Sheriff evicts, everything gets tossed straight onto the curb. Us? We get paid by the banks to do it right — load it into dump trucks & trailers and haul it to the dump. The city can get away with the curb dump, but if I did that I’d lose my ability to work with the banks. This is happening daily right now. Not here to make fun of anyone — just showing you exactly what the market is doing. Maple had her third session of training with the mat today. Day 1 she figured out she needed to be on the mat and after she was consistently going there, we paired the cue "place". Day 2 continued with the cue and getting her to consistently go to the mat with the handler on all sides. Today we sat further away from the mat and gave the cue, from a distance, and had her stay there for slightly longer durations. She does very well. We'll continue to practice longer durations and cueing from different spots. Once she's super consistent staying there (that should only take a couple more sessions) and is a bit better at keeping all 4 paws on, we'll add some distractions and take the mat outside and practice. Eventually this will be the behavior she will be asked for if she needs wait quietly. We use it at appointments, coffee shops, checkouts etc. We're often asked what the difference is between a place and a down stay is. When we use a down stay, it means the dog stays in the down position and doesn't move, whereas place is more about a zone. The dog can sit, stand, turn around or lay down, as long as they stay on the mat and behave. It's often used in long durations for working dogs so it gives them the opportunity to reposition themselves to be comfortable. Later we'll work on eliminating the mat and being able to stay in the immediate vicinity when she's given the cue. #PuppyTraining Video description for inclusivity: Maple, a young lab puppy goes to a mat on the floor and waits for the click sound. Linebackers!🚨🚨🚨 As linebackers, we have to key the guards for run reads, high hats (pass), and for pulling guards. Linebackers have to communicate with each other when they see a puller, screaming “pull, pull, pull!”. The linebacker to the side of the pulling guard has to shuffle over the top staying inside out of the ball carrier. The other linebacker away from the pulling guard has to either box or spill the puller to the other linebacker depending on their defensive scheme. In this video they are boxing the puller back to the other linebacker. It is very important for the linebacker shuffling over the top to keep his depth and not stepping up field. Offensive lineman wants you to step up field so they can cut you off and make a running lane for the running back. #LBU

Today I went with the humans to get the keys to our new home! The house that love bought!❤️ It was my first time in it. I found the front ramp and checked out the kitchen. The fridge spits ice if you push it with your nose!!! But the best part is the ramp to the backyard! It's not a big yard, but big enough for zoomies and ball!!!! The next few days are gonna be busy. We need to finish packing. Move stuff. There's some adaptations that we still need to do to like taking some doors off until they get widened, and maybe making the kitchen more functional for a wheelchair. We didn't stay long today. Just long enough to measure some things and have a good play. We have a lot to do the next few days. The movers are coming Saturday! The comet tail is noticeably longer each day. Pause the video at about 15 seconds . . . you can see the tail of the comet looks like it is bending. The atmosphere is more dense the closer you get to earth. Changes in the density of the atmosphere change the refractive index and thus make the comet tail appear bent. I was in my crew quarters reviewing the imagery when I first saw the bend in the comet’s tail. I did not see it real time when taking the images. I yelled out the door to Don Pettit to check it out but he was already off to take more images of the comet with an IR camera . . . look forward to those. Video is a timelapse played at 8 frames per second. Images were taken with a 1/8 sec exposure with about 5ms in between shots so this timelapse should be about the same speed as we see it out the window. Canadarm2 is in the near field, upper left, and out of focus. 200mm, 1/8s, ISO 5000

"It's the definition of an escalation ladder,” Rogin said. “It's the thing that everyone talks about when you plan a short war, a war that's going to be quick and easy. Essentially, the enemy gets a vote, they escalate, your instinct is to re-escalate, then they re-escalate, and before you know it, you're in a quagmire. And sure enough, that seems exactly what's happening." He pointed out the whiplash: "It was only yesterday, remember, Abby, where Trump said, we're done, we won, we're going to get out, it's over, it's going to be over very, very soon. “That's what he said yesterday. And today, he deployed 2,500 marines toward Kharg Island. It's going to take them two weeks to get there, and he abandoned any timelines for the war. He said It's going to take as long as it takes." Rogin stressed that Trump's decision to escalate, despite Iran promising more retaliation, will drag the region and world into "further economic chaos, further disruption, higher prices, higher inflation, more instability, more shortages, more migration, more extremism, and a war that lasts for months and months." Got a pair of the Ray-Ban Meta glasses as a birthday gift and, slowly I'm starting to like them. The photo and video quality is not bad (not at iPhone level yet), you can stream Spotify, take calls, and just point them at something and ask Meta AI what it is or to translate text. The trickiest part so far is getting the framing right so shots aren't cut off or off-centre, and you need to avoid moving your head too fast or it affects the quality. They also go dark in bright sun and stay see-through indoors or at night, which I love since you can actually wear them inside too. In restaurants for example. Below are some shots I took in the Bahamas and Mexico. (and to add, I have no affiliation with the brand and this is simply me sharing my experience:))

I'm tired of talking about this, but there are still people out there who believe this Artemis II crap, so we need to keep driving the point home: There is no "space travel". NASA is a computer-generation and filming studio that occasionally does public spectacles like this to keep the American public on the hook for $70M/day in tax extortion. Every rocket launch in history has a big curved arc path, because the rocket goes up pretty high, levels out, then comes back down in the Bermuda Triangle (which is why they spook us all from going there in the media - it's a giant graveyard of all the rockets they've splooshed into the ocean) The whole "We need to go horizontal to get to 17,000 MPH and get into orbit" is completely ridiculous and a perfect example of how they lie to your face, but millions still believe it because they've been implanted with this story that NASA are super amazing & trustworthy, and doing all of these incredible things. Just WATCH THE VIDEO. That rocket is going nowhere near 17,000 MPH, and it's not speeding up. It's going off into the distance where nobody can see it anymore, then they switch to cartoon mode where they show everyone computer animations with a little HUD at the bottom of the screen like a video game, and post pre-recorded videos for the next several days pretending they are in space. It's a phony fake show. If you are an adult, you need to stop believing these fantastical stories your government is feeding you as the reason why they need to tax you to death from every direction, and start thinking for yourself. People are taking notice of that and counting and knowing that it has employed so many, it has brought in so much. And that interaction around people here and beyond, with the rest of the world, speaks volumes in terms of value. So it has already brought in a lot. And it's a question of growing that. And we also know that statistics show that even across Africa, in terms of sports, it's running into billions as to what sports can bring to the continent, tens of billions. I think what we do as leaders at different levels is to encourage people to be part of realizing that story and reaping the benefits. And it's happening. So it's no longer something you just listen to and think it is for others and not for you. Now people believe, they start by believing. And when they start by believing and see things happening, then they believe even more and get more involved. And, I mean, the sky is the limit.
