Following the barbaric Russian strike on the Ukrainian capital, it was important to visit, together with heads of 55 foreign diplomatic missions, the site of one of the strikes, a ruined residential building in the Darnytskyi district. This is a site of a horrible war crime. At least 14 innocent civilians were killed by Russian terrorists here, including four children. One of the kids was born under Russian strikes in 2022 and killed by the Russian strike this morning. I am grateful to my colleague, Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klymenko, who briefed foreign diplomats on the casualties and recovery efforts. It is critical that the world sees Russian terror and takes action to stop this barbarism. I thank all foreign diplomats who joined us today in commemorating the victims of Russian strikes. Russia is a terrorist state. We count on strong international responses and action to increase pressure on Russia, including new tough sanctions, and strengthen support for Ukraine.

The UAE has warned of escalating tensions in the region. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates issued a statement expressing serious concern over recent events in the region and calling for an immediate end to the clashes. After months of empty rhetoric and full support for an attack on Iran, now that Iran has threatened to strike UAE infrastructure, and the UAE, seeing the fate of Kuwait, has suddenly remembered restraint and begun calling for an end to the war.

❗️🇷🇺🇺🇦 BREAKING | It seems the Russians are so desperate due to systematic failures on the front lines that they now want to liquidate Ukraine’s top political and military leadership — figures such as Volodymyr Zelensky, Kyrylo Budanov, and Oleksandr Syrskyi. The Russian Foreign Ministry has officially called on foreigners to leave Kyiv as soon as possible, and advised residents of the city to stay away from military and administrative infrastructure facilities. 🎯 “The strike on Starobilsk has exhausted our patience. The Russian Armed Forces are beginning systematic strikes on enterprises of Ukraine’s defense industry (military-industrial complex) in Kyiv.” 📌 “The Russian Armed Forces will strike both political decision-making centers (meaning the President’s Office, the Verkhovna Rada, and other buildings) and Ukraine’s command points,” — Russian Foreign Ministry. 🔷 It is worth noting that more than 80% of the facilities belonging to Ukraine’s military-industrial complex are already located underground or outside Ukraine’s territory — in NATO countries Video is generated by grok AI

🇺🇦 According to the Ukrainian military-analytical resource Militarnyi, which analyzes information from Ukrainian and Russian sources, the American-made Hornet loitering munition currently in service with Ukraine has no competitors among similar-class loitering munitions (both Ukrainian, Russian, and other foreign-made) in terms of its effectiveness, operational characteristics, and cost. 🇺🇦🚀 “The Ukrainian ballistic missile will soon be ready and it will strike Russia. The appearance of Ukrainian ballistics will change Ukraine’s status in the world,” — Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov. 🗣️ According to him, Russian missile strikes on Ukrainian cities and civilian infrastructure have no impact on the situation at the front or the pace of weapons production. He described these strikes solely as “an instrument of moral pressure.” Fedorov’s statement underscores Ukraine’s confidence in its rapidly developing long-range strike capabilities. The imminent arrival of domestically produced ballistic missiles will significantly enhance Ukraine’s ability to deter and respond to Russian aggression, shifting the strategic balance. At the same time, the acknowledgment of Russian strikes as primarily psychological highlights Ukraine’s growing resilience and determination to continue the fight regardless of terror tactics. To understand how far the Trump administration’s efforts to appease Russian dictator Vladimir Putin have gone, consider what happened ahead of the latest U.S. peace mission to Ukraine. Russia carried out strikes in Kyiv as U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner prepared to travel from Moscow to Kyiv for negotiations with the Ukrainian government. Ukrainian officials had proposed suspending airstrikes during the diplomatic mission and called on Russia to do the same. There were also reports that the Americans had been considering arriving by air at Boryspil International Airport. However, the reported airport strike involved Kyiv’s Zhulyany Airport, where two old Yak-40 aircraft were reportedly hit—not Boryspil. Ukrainian lawmaker Oleksiy Honcharenko interpreted the attack as a deliberate warning to Washington, although that motive has not been independently established. The fact that Moscow is prepared to intensify attacks on Kyiv immediately before the arrival of American negotiators illustrates how little deterrent effect Washington’s diplomatic approach appears to have had on the Kremlin.
