First Look: Rochester PD Release Fatal officer Involved Shootout, 3 Officers Injured Rochester Police responded to an attempted break-in by Eric Davis, 38, at his ex-girlfriend’s home. When touched, Davis drew a .40-caliber handgun, fired, and wounded two officers. The boyfriend fired six rounds at an officer but missed, then was shot twice by police. No charges were filed due to the chaos, and he was released from the hospital. Davis fled, shot a third officer, and was eventually fatally shot by return fire from that officer and a fourth behind cover. Two officers were released from the hospital; one remains in treatment for severe injuries.

A Phoenix Police officer with five years on the force fired anyway, killing Christian with a single shot.
