I asked National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett whether he thinks new Fed nominee Kevin Warsh will get behind POTUS' call for 1% interest rates: HASSETT: The president believes that if you are data- driven and not partisan, he thinks the Fed has been partisan, that rates could be a lot lower. And I think that Warsh agrees with that...I have high confidence that he'll go in there and he'll accomplish the right goals. Now, if the data change a lot, if all of a sudden inflation is higher, then of course there won't be room for interest rates to go as low as 1%. But President Trump thinks that we're having a positive supply shock right now, and that's lowering prices and raising growth and raising the welfare of American citizens."

Lisa Cook has voted against lowering interest rates at all 5 Fed meetings since President Trump took office. She won't lower interest rates for us, but will go out and commit mortgage fraud to get lower interest rates for herself. That’s wrong, it’s illegal, and I’m glad Director Pulte investigated it and criminally referred her. No one is above the law.

Have you agreed with the president that you are going to lower interest rates?” Fed Chair nominee Kevin Warsh: “I’m glad you framed it that way.
